Arrived early in December for 4 days. Like the previous time, room not ready until 2, so given a voucher for a complimentary drink at the rooftop bar. Funchal experiencing the hottest December for 130 years & we just caught the backend of that, so the complimentary drink was very

We visited The Vine hotel in October for 10 days. We found the hotel really easily and on arrival we were happy to hear we had a complimentary upgrade which was very much well received as we have a baby. The location of the hotel was so convenient as it is right in the centre of

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this legit 5 star hotel.
It’s in a great location for walking all of Funchal. It has convenient free underground parking. The included breakfast is substantial. The rooms are kept very clean. The rooftop pool is amazing. The staff is super atten

Having booked the hotel I checked the reviews and saw that some people don't like some of the design aspects of it, so I went with some trepidation. I needn't have worried. The hotel is design-led, it's true, but I think it must have made some alterations, because all of the func

We are due to come to this hotel in 2 weeks time for our wedding anniversary. Does anyone know what to expect with regards to the weather. Just want a idea as to what to pack.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your question and for choosing Hotel The Vine and Madeira island to celebrate your wedding anniversary. We are unable to give you a precise weather forecast but can give you an idea of how the weather typically is at this time of the year: Mostly cloudy but with some good sunshine days too, especially in Funchal area. You may expect some rain and the temperatures are around 18/19ºC during the day and 14/16ºC on evenings. We wish you a fantastic stay! Best Regards,

I am coeliac and require a completely gluten free diet. This means there must be no contamination from other foods, hands, utensils or surfaces...etc. I am also vegetarian. Can this hotel feed me safely?
The hotel does ask if you have any dietary requirements when booking and I am sure if you contact the hotel direct they will be more than happy to answer your questions and concerns.

We are thinking of booking a 5 night stay over the christmas period. Is the restaurant open on Christmas eve and Christmas day? Many thanks
Hi they will ask at the time of booking should you require a dinner reservation; I personally would reserve as it will probably be very busy over the Christmas period.
