We stayed here for 3 nights, great location. Parking onsite which is a bonus in the old town. Walk down to town is great, climb up is hard work! Staff were super friendly, the hotel is very clean, the old original part is super. You can feel the history. Wonderful garden and patio area. Will definitely go back.

Lovely to stay at a smaller boutique hotel with character set amidst lovely terraced gardens. Views are wonderful and the location was perfect for us as we felt we were working off some of the calories walking back up the hill to the hotel! The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk down to the old town so a perfect location...

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and had a truly wonderful time. We had booked the premier suite and enjoyed the spacious room but especially the view from the terrace. It is the perfect place to sit and look out to Funchal, the sea and the hills. The gardens are the other highlight here and the breakfasts outside...

We stayed at this lovely hotel for an overnight. Great views all round and wonderful garden layout around the grounds of the hotel. Choice of breakfast served at tables set around the gardens. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Our premiere suite with terrace was beautiful well equipped and was ideal for spending the evening with a glass of madiera wine...

We had a lovely welcome from the manager he could not do enough, it was his last day before going on holiday shame he was vibrant and had great personality. We stayed in the Premier Suite lovely sized rooms/kitchen/dining room and bedroom that looked out over the harbour and Funchal. The only downside was that due to a door accessed...

I stayed at the Arts in Hotel for a friend's wedding. I needed somewhere central as I was staying alone so taxi sharing wasn't an option. I arrived earlier than I should have. No problem. I was shown to a large, clean room. Everything worked, including the air conditioning. It was comfortable, spacious and you are given freedom to do...

It was my first time in Madeira and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Atmosphere at the hotel is very relaxing. Hotel is quiet with beautiful garden, terrace and perfect location to the city center. (it will takes you c.a. 10min). Staff were welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and linen smelled of...

Hotel is lovely and clean and room was big with lots of storage space, kitchen well equipped and bathroom with very large, bed was comfortable and was electric like a hospital bed so you could raise your legs and sit up in bed. Breakfast was same each day with unsweetened fruit juices, banana juice was grey and gluppy, the famous custard...

Stayed for a week's holiday- our room and the hotel's grounds were lovely. Location is great- away from the busier sections of the town but ten minutes walk away from the waterfront or the main streets for the evening. Staff were extremely helpful and kind- thoroughly recommended. -Tim

Booked Arts in hotel as the apartment we had intended to stay cancelled less than 24hrs before we were due to arrive on Madeira. Pleasantly surprised and glad fate stepped in for us to stay here! Fabulous find indeed😊 Yes it's a 10-15 min walk into Funchal centre, its all downhill into the centre but uphill for the return journey....

Hello trinity7688! So kind of you to leave so many comments for us. We also appreciate the space that our hotel affords our guests, as well as the peaceful residential community of our street. The bus stop outside is very handy for those guests who enjoy exploring extensively without a car. We are glad that you could make use of...
