We loved every minute of our week's stay at the Quinta da Casa Branca. This lovely boutique hotel is set in beautiful, extremely well tended tropical gardens and, despite being only a twenty minute walk from the town, it was very quiet and relaxing. The hotel's decor oozes style and sophistication. We loved to sit outside at breakfast at one...

Beautiful and peaceful place, close to downtown area, friendly staff and a great place for vacation. Madeira is a wonderful place, food is also very good. The hotel is the best place to stay in Funchal.

This was the second time we had visited Madeira between Christmas and New Year and the first time at this hotel. The hotel is very conveniently situated. It is quiet with lovely gardens and all the plants labelled with species names and country of origin. The rooms are modern and well appointed and the staff helpful and attentive. The breakfast...

We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. An oasis of tranquility in the midst of a busy tourist town. Our room overlooked the gardens which even in early December were beautifully kept. It was a delight to wander round such a lovely garden. The room itself was well equipped and the small gym and spa were very relaxing. The restaurant...

Despite visiting Madeire since 1990 we only stumbled on this hotel in May. We asked to be shown around and a very friendly member of the reception staff showed us one of the garden rooms together with the other public rooms. We were very impressed so decided to book for a winter break so that we would be able to...

One of those rare hotels that you really can't fault- brilliant central Funchal location, yet it is so easy to disappear amongst the lush botanical gardens covering the grounds. QCB's staff hit the impossible mark of being impeccably professional and well-trained, but with genuine warmth and hospitality underneath it all. Come here for a truly rejuvenating spa break; this is...

Lovely hotel surrounded by beautifull gardens. Plenty of space, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The place never felt crowded, always plenty of sun loungers available. Very good breakfast. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the city center (8 Euro by taxi). Very relaxing stay, I hope I will come back here again!

We stayed 6 nights at end-November in one of the recently refurbished Manor House suites. The accommodation was superb. A large bedroom, large sitting room and very generous bathroom all coming off a large entrance hall way. The furniture and decor were all tastefully done and perfectly fitted the stye of the manor house. We had a very large separate...

The hotel is set in 4.5 acres of its own botanical gardens. The garden rooms are set over looking a huge lawn surrounded with exotic plants, all with name plates. The rooms were slightly old fashioned (1980) stile but were immaculately presented and cleaned to a high standard every day. The staff were all very professional but friendly and spoke...
