Truly beautiful hotel with the most amazing grounds. I can't say enough how great all the staff are from the restaurant to reception to the maids all go out of their way to greet you personally and to share little bits of info about their incredible island. We travelled with our 8 year old son and my 60 year old...

Just back from a weeks holiday with my other half. First time in the island and at this hotel and both are simply excellent. All staff are friendly and efficient, and speak good English. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety from the buffet and eggs and bacon cooked to order free of charge. The rooms are very comfortable. We...

Just returned from a week's stay at Casa Branca and would thoroughly recommend this gem of a hotel! It is set in the most beautiful gardens, the rooms are stylish and comfortable and the staff friendly and efficient. The breakfast each morning offered an excellent choice and the lunch at the Pool bar was tasty and good value. We had...

We stayed for a week during July and generally agree with most reviewers. The staff were particularly helpful and service was always with a smile. The setting in amongst the gardens was really relaxing and it never seemed particularly busy. We were on B&B, and breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of different hot and cold food – eggs...

We arrived at Quinta Casa Branca on 23rd of July 5 days after breaking my ankle at work. The staff were extremely helpful and could not do enough for us. Just the place to recover. We had 4 lovely meals in the restaurant whilst watching the mountains change in the evening light. They organized a taxi for the day which...

This is a lovely hotel, set in sizeable and lovely gardens located about 20minutes walk from the main part of Funchal. Most of the guests at the time of our stay were couples or familes with older children. Our (garden) room was average size but very pleasant, especially with the loungers outside overlooking the gardens. Staff throughout the hotel were...

I stayed here for 5 nights with my wife and 11 year old daughter. Although most of the rooms appeared to be occupied, we appreciated the fact that the hotel was very quiet through most of our stay. The staff was welcoming, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The gardens on the grounds are beautiful and well maintained....

We chose to come here specifically for the gardens & were not disappointed! Truly amazing, very unusual plants & shrubs. Not usually a fan of Modern architecture, but the views of the gardens particularly the Reception make all that glass understandable. Food was exceptionally good, we went half board missing lunch. The menu was different each night, good choices. The wines...

We stayed here with friends in June and were absolutely delighted. The staff and service provided were outstanding, yet warm and friendly. The gardens are beautiful and its lovely to sit on both the breakfast terrace and that of the restaurant in the evening and sit and take it in. We went half board and were amazed that as well...

Quinta da Casa Branca was an excellent and perfect hotel for us. It isn't one of those big massive super commercialized hotel, but it is a smaller and hence a quieter get-away. We had a standard room which we loved! Each of these standard room has a private porch overlooking the green and lovely garden, with lots of sunshine in...
