The first time we had all visited Funchal .... Loved it. The hotel is lovely, the staff welcoming we travelled to Funchal with another couple for my birthday the hotel left cava, fruit and dipping chocolate in our room which was a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean the buffet breakfast acceptable. I would be happy to recommend a stay...

Attractive location withnin walking distance to Funchal , Lido and restaurants. But the best are people behind the success, Allison and others in frontdesk and Cesar in breakfast room. Rooms are well designed, clean and light. For quiet option choose higher floors.

Friendly staff. The manager introduced himself to us and gave us complementary coffee beverages today. Here for a week. Complaints would be just trying to find the hotel. Seems we get lost in Funchal every time we need to make our way back. Finally, we discovered the hotel is in Lido, that helps. Beds are a little hard, carpet a...

Stayed for a week and had a good experience. Paid for an ocean view room that didn't disappoint. Very close walking distance to restaurants and parks. Would definitely stay again. Great breakfast included, with many options to choose from. Cleaning staff was friendly.

We recently stayed at the lince hotel in Madeira , it is ideally situated in the hotel district opposite the lido and close to many restaurants and shops. The hop on hop off buses stop just across the road The reception area of the hotel is light and airy and there are comfy seats and a bar The staff are...

After reading the reviews on The Lince Hotel prior to our arrival in Funchal we were a little apprehensive but upon arrival at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised. Check-in was easy and our room was ready when we arrived. The rooms themselves are well laid out and spotlessly clean. The hotel staff are friendly, and available for questions. The...

The room was clean and in good decorative order. The carpet outside it was appalling, it needed a good clean or replacing. We only had breakfast in the hotel, as there were lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance.Breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a balcony with a small sea view, but it was nice sitting...

The street which faces most of the hotel is very narrow and there is a similar structure across the street which contains a strip club and a late night grocery. The strip club's hours are from 10 pm until 6:00 am. There is a lot of yelling and general noise on the street until very late. It seems some of...

We chose this hotel as a post holiday hotel for a couple of nights until our flight back home and we were happy with it as it was clean, bright and airy, friendly and comfortable and in a good location in the popular hotel district. Close to bus stops, trips departing, shops and terrific restaurants. Reception was bright and airy...

Although in a good location for restaurants, buses, shops etc., this hotel is nothing special. My room was nice enough, with a fridge and small safe. There are lots of TV channels available, some in English. The best was Fox Crime which showed UK programmes such as Vera, Lewis, Prime Suspect and Endeavour. Sky News, CNN and BBC World, together...
