A warm friendly staff, ready to give advice on where to eat and what to see and do. They responded readily to any request ie: extra pillows, milk, teabags and happily stored our luggage on our last day as we had an evening flight. Our room looked onto the garden so we couldn't hear the busy road outside. A great...

our flight was so early, but we could check in earlier to the room without any problem, the lady in the reception was very helpful and friendly, she gave us information about what we should see in Porto and explained how to go around the city. The room didn't look like a 2 stars hotel, but I could say it...

Too expensive for what you get. It's clean, friendly staff, ok breakfast but very noisy. Thin walls and a very noisy busy road. Cars make a lot of noise on the cobblestones. The bed is rather hard. It is in walking distance to the old town and metro. €75 per night.

Great value for money. Clean airy rooms in a quiet part of Porto. Situated up the hill from Porto central we had a room that looked over the garden so was lovely & peaceful. A 5 min walk to all the action thru lovely traditional Portuguese streets meant this was a great little retreat. Booked for 2 nights ... Stayed...

Clean room, hot water, hair-dryer, towels, soap, air conditioned and heating. 24/24 hours reception. Kind staff (family-run business). Absolutely recommended. City center at walking distance. Near to nightlife, but not noisy. And cheap, 25€ a night for a single room!!

My wife and I had 3 nights here in early October. The hotel is excellently located, only 10-15 minutes walk from central Porto and 5 minutes from the Lapa Metro stop with links to the airport and railway station. The owners are very friendly, attentive and helpful. We were given our choice of available rooms before receiving a "welcome" glass...

We stayed here for 6 days end of September. The double air cinditioned room was very clean and well maintained with enough room, though not spacious it was quite satisfactory. The owners were most helpfull providing information on sights and the transport system. They quite happily got up at 04.00 to let us out for the transport to the airport,...

Our reservation was lost by Alvares Cabral and we were booked here. The double room was facing the street but was quiet. The bath was modern and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast variety of yogurt, breads, jams, cheese, ham, coffee, juice, and hot cocoa.

The hotel was really reasonably priced, and very clean. The owners were helpful too. We asked for a room at the back over-looking the garden, and they did their best to accommodate us. Plus we came back really late a couple of nights, and they didn't complain when they had to let us in at 6am in the morning! It's...

“We arrived early (right on check-in time) and were offered the choice of available rooms. Rooms at the back overlook the garden which is quieter, although we were on the front and had no real disturbance from traffic which is practically non-existent other than morning and evening rush hours.”

“Ask for a room over-looking the garden, as it's a bit quieter.”

“Take the rooms facing the inner yard. The ones facing the street are probably too loud. The street is one-way and uphill, so cars are speeding past and the cobblestones are amplifying the noise during the night.”
