The hotel is very central In Porto, and staff is so nice and helpful. Very nice accommodation compared to the price. Rooms are fine and cleaned beautifully. Authentic house so you really get the feeling of Porto.

Economy room on street level is very noisy (believe me - passing cars and people upstairs are like in your room). Although it has a private bathroom (obviously other economy rooms don't) I wouldn't ever stay there again. We changed it to double room during our stay. This room faced the garden backside, was very nice and quiet (we could...

Lovely comfortable Guest House, very accommodating staff, very clean, about 10 /15 mins walk from city centre, up and down hill walking. No tea or coffee in rooms but water and snacks available on request, fresh bread and home made jams for breakfast with fresh fruit too, juice and plenty of tea and coffee.

This is a nice little hotel. It is an adapted old house, and rooms are decorated with handycraft objects and furniture. It is located on a busy and noisy street, but double windows keep the room silent at night. The staff is kind and attentive, and a reasonable breakfast (breads, coffee, juice, some fruits and housemade fruit jam) can be...

Simple and tidy inner city budget accommodation close to the center of Porto, with everything in easy walking distance. Stylish character rooms and friendly staff. Perfect for a couple of nights stay in this exquisite city with your lover.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to spend a few nights and Alvares Cabral Guest House was perfect. I got a shared bathroom, but if you're looking for something nicer they have it. The family that owns it are lovely, interesting people and have some great recommendations. Porto is great and I'd stay here again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay and the excellent WiFi. The host is welcoming and gave us good ideas for our first venture into the city with a discount/glass of wine in specific restaurants. The Guest House is well situated for easy walking access to the centre and the transport system (Trinidade metro). The house is a fine old town house with...

It is a nice place, but we stayed in two guest houses as a part of our trip. And in terms of price and quality this one was not the best one. Location isn't good , and unfortunately , our room smelled slightly as basement. And highlight of the trip - our washroom didn't have a door which you can...

Me and my girlfriend spent three nights in this guest house and we were very satisfied. It´s situated about 10 minutes walk from the centre and metro/bus. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is also garden and small kitchen, where breakfast is served. We had a very nice stay here...

For my husband and I, this was our first visit to Portugal and it couldn't have been better. Our stay at the Alvares Cabral Guest House was everything we could have asked for. We stayed in a double room, with a private bathroom. The house was very clean and so was our room. The hosts were also very helpful and...
