Enjoyed this hotel - friendly staff, nice quiet room, with ( hooray ! ) a kettle ! Decent buffet breakfast and wifi. The hotel is convenient for some of the Porto attractions, and is pretty well served by public transport for the others. Just beware if arriving by train / metro at the Sao Bento station with luggage. On the...

We spent 4 nights here on arrival in Portugal for our first visit to the country, and felt this was an excellent introduction. Porto is a very hilly city and the location in a historic part is great, but it is a long way down to many attractions and back up, and of course that includes the river. However, judicious...

The rooms are adequately spacious and has bar fridge, coffee making, small amount of drinks and snacks, and free good internet (which is something we need now and many hotels don't get it working right in the rooms). They only serve breakfast in their Lobby restaurant but the price was good value and we preferred eating lunch and dinner out...

Centrally located near Batalha park, the hotel is showing some wear, but is quite functional and of good value. Rooms are plain, but comfortable. Breakfast is a mite crowded and hectic, but a good variety of items.

Room was so small we had to climb over the bed to get from one side of the room to the other. One chair and shower was so slippery we had to put a towel down to keep from falling. No coffee in room. Also parking was costly. Location was great. Very small elevator. Breakfast was awful.

The hotel is superb - clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast...everything was ok. Location is great, in the heart of Porto, walk distance from many sights of the city. There is many shops and restaurants around the hotel. Thank you for a pleasant stay, we'll be back here again.

Fantastic location right in the square. Close to buses and trains. Rooms are very dated. Coffee and tea available in the room. No ironing board. Elevevators are very, very small. Front desk staff are very helpful. Lots and lots of hills to walk. Great shopping all around and great restaurants. We just really enjoyed walking and walking around and stopping...

The room we had was small, looking out on a blind wall, which is a shame. There is airconditioning in the room, but it is old and hard to get to work properly. The bed is hard, a bit too hard for my taste. It was reasonably clean. It was lacking wall plugs. Since everyone has a lot of electronics...

The room was superb. It's like a business hotel catering to casual tourism. Central location at 5 minutes walk from de Cathedral. Wonderful views and superb restaurants. The housekeeping was excellent and the front desk staff really know the good places to eat at. Really recommend this hotel.

If your driving you can park the car on the side street near by the hotel to unload your luggage. You will receive instructions to a 24 hour car park (located on Rua da Alegria) for 6.50€ a night which is at a discounted rate from the hotel (they will give you a ticket). Hotel itself is clean (minus some...
