The entry to the hotel and the public rooms were magnificent. Our room was beautifully decorated but very small. The receptionists were very helpful and pleasant to deal with however the barman does not appear to have a happy working life. Overall a pleasant experience though.

Stayed here on a touring holiday. Very central convenient location with grand public rooms in keeping with the age and name of the hotel. Breakfast and dinner in the chandeliered dining room were both good. Bedroom however was a different story. Our room was down a level from the reception area. Smell of drains in the stairwell and then 1970's...

Great hotel if you appreciate historical settings: very quiet, clean, friendly staff & a good sleep. We were dropped off & picked up at hotel entrance even though it's a pedestrian street. Perfect location to explore Porto by foot.

All in all a good stay in an old world hotel in a good location. Upon entering the building you're impressed with the lovely decor sending you back to a time when hotels were a grand affair. However, once you arrive in your floor and then your room unfortunately you're transferred back to the twentieth century........specifically about 1970/80 with the...

We actually walked by the hotel as our taxi let us out at the corner because he could not enter the street as it was only for pedestrians. GPS came to the rescue & we just had to backup a few steps & so glad we did. I think most of the reviews were spot on. It is a lovely...

This hotel was just right for us for a city break in Porto. We love the character of the Lobby Bar and Breakfast Room - all beautiful rooms. As other's have said the bedrooms are fairly plain but still nice enough. We were in a standard room which was big and airy and also nice and quiet. Really good double...

Great location. The main floor of the hotel is ornate and the service is that of a first class hotel. However, the rooms are far from first class. The bed is good but the rest of the room is barely furnished. It's a good place to stay if you don't plan on spending much time in your room except for...

This hotel fits the name, Grande Hotel. Central location is true, not on fringes or slopes, or sub-prime locations of newer hotels. From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed the classic early 20th century period design & furnishing, and especially in the evenings, their Windsor Bar and formal dining room (dinner was pleasant for the uniformed waiters' service, good food...

Great location, excellent breakfast and dinner. Luxurious dinning room, bar and resting and reading area. Very kind and helpful staff. Room was a bit noisy due to heating system and unfortunately we got a connecting room and we could hear everything from the next room.

The best about this hotel? Location and the history. The common parts of hotel, restaurant, receptionist...you can feel like in other century. We arrived early morning and receptionist was very nice and gave us the key, We got upgraded room, with small living room and with balcony. It was very vibrant during day, but evening it was quiet and we...
