Our room had a private tiny high walled(3 storey) courtyard. Very nice for a glass of wine. The property is an ancient structure that has been done over recently in a contemporary style. Cookies, cake, tea and coffee are always available, at no extra charge. Very able staff that are happy to help.

This is a designer guesthouse with a streamlined modern artistic taste, so definitely no doilies to be found here! The atmosphere is super friendly, with helpful and informative staff who can help with all your tourist information needs. There are all day tea and biscuits on the landing, a fully stocked bar where you can sample port in the afternoon...

Great location near the river and the train station, clean and spacious room and bathroom, nice breakfast with fresh orange juice, and friendly staff. Vera was very welcoming and helpful during our stay.

We loved this guest house. The staff were amazing. Friendly, helpful, passionate about their jobs. They made a great breakfast every day. Our room was at the top of the house. Fabulous windows with an incredible view in 3 directions. Lots of stairs, but worth it. The perfect neighborhood. Beautiful staircase and skylight, cute little courtyard, views from the windows.

Fabulous location, fabulous room and exceptional service! Pedro greeted us on arrival, with a welcome glass of Port on the patio. Pedro's passion for the guest house was inspiring. The room was fabulous, breakfast exceptionally and fresh, the service we received exceeded some of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in. I would highly recommend to all. Pedro made...

Excellent location, Pedro and Naida received us like family. The breakfast delicious and very tasty and fresh. Pedro helped us a lot and all his recommendations became incredible experiences. The parking was a little bit far and expensive but the rented car really worth that

Great location and friendly staff give advice about everything to see and do in Porto before even getting to your room. Wifi worked perfectly. Plenty of plugs in the room for recharging devices. Very decent breakfast for such a small place. Cookies left out for guests after reception closes, which is a nice touch. The only drawback here is if...

The Cale Guest House was highly recommended to me by an architect/designer colleague who has great taste - so I knew it would be a sure bet. Even though it's located right in the heart of the city it is a lovely quiet retreat. The people are very gracious and helpful - and the breakfast is delicious with fresh and...

Interesting place that was cozy and well situated. I stayed in the room with the garden which was lovely, however, since it doesn't receive any sun and the plants get watered often, it's quite damp even in the room. The room was simple but comfortable, aircon efficient, bathroom clean. Since I was leaving to begin my Camino early in the...

This was a great getaway close enough to walk but far away enough from the main centre to not hear too much. Pedro the guest manager was very helpful and looked after the two of us more than expected. We were sat down at our check in and he explained the city to us and drew out where to go...
