The building itself is lovely, stone walls, wooden windows, wooden floors etc but with up to date facilities including free wifi. Our room was a delux on the first floor with a really high ceiling. The bed is an old style wooden Portuguese style with a average size mattress, spotless bed linen. The bathroom is good but not amazing, there...

This a lovely hotel - amazingly helpful staff and lovely clean rooms. If you get a room at the back, its very quiet....until a train comes, or worse stays in the station warming up its engines - then its incredibly noisy. When I stayed, this happened at 12pm or so on a Friday night and 5am on a sunday morning....

A beautifull old manor house / establishment which has been refurbished extremely well and appropriately. A feeling of staying in grandeur but with all modern comforts and facilities. Friendly staff and very helpfull. Easy walking distance into the centre of town and to the old harbour seafood restaurants areas. Very close to the railway station but train noise was not...

Our bedroom on the 1st floor was a deluxe room at the end of a hallway with wonderful bath and marble floors. A plus is the magnifying mirror which not all hotels provide and the aromatic Italian made body lotion and bath wash. The service was outstanding, with NuNu providing lots of good restaurant ideas. We were also able to...

A beautiful small hotel in a carefully restored ancient building from the 15º century. Perfectly located in the centre of Viana do Castelo. Friendly staff and efficient rooms and bathrooms. Parking is available (outside only) in a reserved space close to the station (ca. 100m). Breakfast is okay, buffet regularly filled up and good variety. A pity that the restaurant...

We had a wonderful spotless double room with a living room annexe. The hotel is a beautifully restored Portugese casa antigua. It's near to the centre and has parking out front. Staff were helpful and the breakfasts were good. There are plenty of restaurants and a modern shopping centre close by with a cinema. Recommend hiring a car to explore...

We stayed in this hotel on our honeymoon and it was excellent, Viana is also a great place so all in all made it a brilliant stay. The hotel itself had lots of character and was well decorated throughout, our room (infact a suite) was decorated very comfortably with a traditional style, our room was huge and the added living...

We really enjoyed this hotel, in a centuries-old building in the center of Viana do Castelo. Renovated for use as a hotel in an imaginative, artistic way with lovely modern paintings and rugs and modern sculptures. The hotel is convenient to the train and bus terminals , near all shops and restaurants , and near the beautiful historic center. Besides...
