I have stayed at hotel Des Colonies 13 -17 May 2017. The location is great as you are close to the metro station as well as the railway station, which provides fast access anywhere you need. Also, one can have a nice walk and arrive in the center in about 15 minutes. The bed sheets have been changed daily, as...

I loved the entry Hall with all its 'windows'. It was very classy, plus the stained glass windows on the upper floors. The history behind the hotel was very interesting as was the old typewriter that was show cased. The service was excellent, with good recommendations and everything I needed!

I was attending the seafood expo and ended up staying at the hotel des colonies. This hotel is extremely well located for the nearby train station (Rogier) and an abundance of eateries nearby as well as the famous delirium bar within 9th metres. The hotel lobby and reception is good and perhaps slightly deceiving as the rooms are extremely dated...

Smelly and filthy room with a bath that regurgitated foul smelling water at odd times in the night. It didn't have a proper shower and tiny beds without proper covers, when you pay £260 for a single room, you expect better than that. One of my worst and most expensive hotel experiences.

I left my dirty clothes (NICE clothes -- i wore suits all week) in a plastic sack in my room and they were thrown away by a house keeper while I was at a conference. At first, I was taken to the dumpster and told I could look through the trash if I wanted. Finally a staff member said I...

I arrived here on Tuesday on business and I have to say one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was dirty, the room was dark and un-inviting, paint coming of the woodwork and the wardrobe doors falling off. I asked to move and they said they were fully booked. When I walked out, they were...

In the past I stayed a few times at the hotel Siru, which is in the same building as the Hotel des Colonies and shares the same reception. Quality-wise, we're pretty much at the same level. The good points are for sure the lovely entrance, the rich and well cooked breakfast, the efficient (free) Wi-Fi and the super fast check-out...

Hotel is 5 minutes walking from railway station Gare du Nord and only 15 minutes walking from the center. Hotel employees are friendly, the rooms are clean, but having basic comfort and space. Breakfast is good and the coffee is great. Perfect starting point for exploring the city.

Hotel des colonies a historical hotel . Sadly it's not been refurbished since it was built. The rooms are shocking and do not believe the photos. Broken cane furniture no wardrobe and a tiny broke shower that you can't even raise your arms in let alone shower in. No hot water. Heating is via to old broke radiators and the...

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is very convenient - you can walk to the centre (Grand Place), it is close to Rogier metro/tram station with links to the south/midi and north stations, near a couple of supermarkets and situated on a quiet street. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable, and there is a...
