I left my dirty clothes (NICE clothes -- i wore suits all week) in a plastic sack in my room and they were thrown away by a house keeper while I was at a conference. At first, I was taken to the dumpster and told I could look through the trash if I wanted. Finally a staff member said I...

I arrived here on Tuesday on business and I have to say one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was dirty, the room was dark and un-inviting, paint coming of the woodwork and the wardrobe doors falling off. I asked to move and they said they were fully booked. When I walked out, they were...

In the past I stayed a few times at the hotel Siru, which is in the same building as the Hotel des Colonies and shares the same reception. Quality-wise, we're pretty much at the same level. The good points are for sure the lovely entrance, the rich and well cooked breakfast, the efficient (free) Wi-Fi and the super fast check-out...

Hotel is 5 minutes walking from railway station Gare du Nord and only 15 minutes walking from the center. Hotel employees are friendly, the rooms are clean, but having basic comfort and space. Breakfast is good and the coffee is great. Perfect starting point for exploring the city.

Hotel des colonies a historical hotel . Sadly it's not been refurbished since it was built. The rooms are shocking and do not believe the photos. Broken cane furniture no wardrobe and a tiny broke shower that you can't even raise your arms in let alone shower in. No hot water. Heating is via to old broke radiators and the...

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is very convenient - you can walk to the centre (Grand Place), it is close to Rogier metro/tram station with links to the south/midi and north stations, near a couple of supermarkets and situated on a quiet street. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable, and there is a...

I stayed 3 nights while I was traveling in Europe. Hotel is not new or exclusive but good for the price and very clean. It's very well located, near subway and train station. City is not that big therefore, you don't even need much transportation. Lot of things are a walking distance from hotel like Grand Place, one of the most beautiful...

The hotel is well located, close to subway and train station. Some of the staff is unspecialized. Breakfast every day the same, and by the finish everything ends (food, drinks, cutlery). In-room minibar is missing, clogged sinks, plants not operated.

Found location very good, near the Hilton and Sheraton which made Hotel des Colonies a budget type accomodate. That is fine if only for the price. As mention the location is fantastic and near to most attractions. Rooms were reasonable, nothing fancy and breakfast was acceptable. Do not expect much more than that. My major concern was that it was...

I stayed two nights while on business in Brussels. While the hotel is showing it's age, it is a still a fairly decent place to stay. It is close to the Gare de Bruxelles Nord train station, and there are a number of shops and places to east near by. The hotel reception staff were friendly, I booked a single...
