Choeng Mon is a little bay lies in the North-Eastern of Koh Samui, just 10 minutes or so from the middle of Chaweng and 5 minutes from the Samui Airport but it seems like worlds away. There is a small town that the road runs through with a couple of dozen restaurants, bars, convenience stores, ATM, currency exchange, tour counters and shops to serve both local and tourists.

My husband and I had the most incredible time at the Royal Muang hotel. The facilities, location and staff were amazing. We literally cannot fault the staff at all – always friendly and can’t do enough for you! The location was perfect and the beach was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel. We cannot wait to visit again. The only thing I would mention is that the lady operating the tour desk at the hotel is hopeless – rather walk across the road and walk into one of the tour places to book tours!

Great hotel, great staff, superb breakfast and amazing value for money! The beach is very clean, nice sunbeds . The sea is perfect! Quite shallow but with a few big waves. The infinity pool was just the right temp to cool you down! Would visit again

This hotel was fantastic and peaceful, wasn’t too busy which was great our room was lovevly spacious and cool the room had a fantastic big pool I stayed in room 311 on the third floor which had a beautiful veiw of Resort! the pool was great had lovely water falls and a nice temp the hotel was very small so easy to find stuff they also have golf buggy’s to take you where you want! The buffet was great lots of options and overall food was lovely and delicious this hotel was great and if you are looking for a trip in Thailand definitely go here the staff are friendly and overall the resort is fantastic

My husband and I spent a wonderful 4 nights here - we did not want to leave. We stayed in a pool suite close to the amazing beach. Our suite was amazing - the only downside was that you had to step up and then step down into the shower area - a little difficult for someone with mobility issues. However, this did not deter from the fabulous and large suite. We felt like royalty as it was so beautiful - very thai style which we loved. Great air-con, huge full size fridge filled with various drinks. However, it was no problem to move them out of the mini bar and buy our own preferred drinks at the 7-11 opposite he foya. They also have buggies, which the staff will pick you up at reception or your room if you find the walking a struggle. It is a very long resort. Breakfast was great, resort pool huge and THE BEACH!!!!! Picture perfect. Plenty of sun lounges and you could order your drinks and food from the lovely staff at the beach bar. Unfortunately our private pool did not get much sun due to lots of trees, so it was just a dip in the afternoon. Even though I have mentioned a couple of cons, I still give the resort and their staff 5 stars. We cannot wait to return. Thank you to all the staff at Royal Muang Samui villas. See you next year!!…

If relaxation is what you’re after then you can’t go past staying here. Really large comfortable rooms with friendly and considerate service. The beach front pool is very nice but you can’t beat a deck chair with umbrella on what is a stunning beach. The food and cocktails were delightful at the Spice Shack right on the beach and great daily buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to your liking. You really felt you were in Thailand with the traditional architecture of something like old Siam but with all of the modern features we have grown use to. Full size fridge in rooms always handy. Cheongmon beach is quiet with enough little restaurants and bars to try and 7/11 shop across the street all within very easy walking distance. I am sure we will be back! Wonderful stay at the royal muang, we had a pool room with a jacuzzi bath and walk in shower, every single member of staff are excellent, impeccable manners and always smiling. Can’t remember all the names of the staff, I have a mobility issues, when any member of staff saw me coming they immediately offered to help. The breakfasts were amazing, something for everyone, we were half board so we could choose lunch or dinner which were 3 courses. Again the food was very well presented and tasty. The volley ball event was on while we were there,it was quite enjoyable even for me, someone who doesn’t like ball games, the prices of drinks were not excessive on a par with other establishments in the area. This is a lovely resort in a beautiful location right on the Choeng Mon beach where you can find lots of food and drinks outlets for lunch and dinner. A lot of activities on the main road including shops, bars, restaurants, massage, etc but on a smaller scale and much quieter than the main Choeng beach. The villa was huge wit a large bathroom and terrace. All with nice design features. The breakfast was amazing and friendly and attentive staff. THE MAIN FEATURE HAS GOT TO BE THE BEACH!!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Our garden room suite was beautifully decorated and furnished and so large and comfortable. The bathroom huge with a separate rain shower and jacuzzi bath. The swimming pool was large and very attractive with its waterfall and was also only steps away from the beautiful beach so we were able to swim in both the sea and the pool. Poolside waiter service was also very attentive and helpful. We had two very enjoyable and romantic dinners on the beach the first on Valentines Night and and another 2 days later. The attention to detail with individual table settings under private curtained tripod/teepee on the beach was amazing. Food and wines also well priced. Breakfast was also good with a large buffet selection. The grounds are very attractive and there is a courtesy buggy to provide transport between room, pool/beach and reception. Everywhere was meticulously cared for. I particularly want to mention the staff who were so friendly, polite, helpful and caring. It was a delight to stay at this hotel and I don't hesitate to highly recommend it.…

Very beautiful hotel in Koh Samui! Beautiful villas, very specious and beautiful great for couples and families too. Very good breakfast and excellent service! I enjoyed very much. Amazing beach and pool and very good location too! Short taxi ride to fisherman village or Chaweng beach! There’s a free shuttle to Chaweng. Shout out to Fai & Mo. thank you girls! I have had a wonderful stay and enjoyed every minute of it!
