Fabulous hotel on gorgeous beach. The level upgrade was well worth the money. Spotlessly clean and the pools are stunning. Special mention to Baw what a star could not do enough for us and so friendly. The level staff namely Mamai,Sky,Aung, Tamarind, Dew, Mulan and Candy are a credit to the hotel and it is the best service I have experienced in over ten trips to Thailand. We can't wait to come back.

Hotel's Favourite
During our 10 days trip to Koh Samui we decided to stay in 2 different areas (Choeng mon beach and Chaweng beach) and We had an absolute heavenly stay at Melia Koh Samui at Choeng mon beach. This area is not as busy or loud as other areas and that's what we love about this beach/area..It has a lovely relaxing vibe, beautiful sandy beach with clear calm water, perfect for swimming. It is definitely great for families with young kids.. The hotel itself is so beautiful and peaceful.. Super friendly, loving and professional staff. We booked premium room with direct pool access for 5 days and it was spacious and lovely. bed was comfortable, crib was super comfortable for our baby, bathroom was spotless, large balcony and it was gorgeous (specially at night).. Breakfast buffet was delicious with variety of food, overall food at the restaurants and room service was yummy with good portion size..Resort property is huge, beautiful, clean and well maintained.. Pool is great, beach is the best..We haven't had any problem getting seats or umbrella at the pool or beach during our stay. Had the most relaxing spa experience at YHI spa.. Overall, we loved our stay and can't wait to go back already!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Beautiful hotel, amazing location situated on a cove beach. With a lot of beaches you have to worry about jelly fish etc however we didn’t see any (still double check though think it depends on the month). Very nice rooms and the grounds are really nice. They have free kayak and paddle boards for hotel guests to use and there is paid water sports on the beach aswell. The prices for drinks are expensive and I think the 10% service charge and 7% tax is excessive especially when your only buying a bottle of water! If you want drinks go to the island view bar next door on the beach for a 1/4 of the price! Would like to say thank you to several staff members… Firstly Baw, he was so friendly and always looked after us. Every day he came over and had a conversation with us making sure we were okay and if we needed anything he would do it without hesitation! He remembered everyone’s name which was very impressive, Melia hotel are very lucky to have him working for them! Also Keng who worked in the reception area (bar and buggy driver I think). He was also very friendly and always engaged in conversations with us. He recommended places for us to visit and always greeted us with a smile. Same comments as above Keng always greeted us by our names (impressive in such a big hotel) and Melia are very lucky to have him working for them.

Having been to koh Samui 20 years ago we were keen to come back. We chose the Melia Koh Samui as the reviews were so fabulous. Upgrading to the Level minute was an excellent decision as the cocktails at sunset were divine and it was so nice to have a peaceful escape from the heat. The service we received from Mamai, Tamarind, Sky, Dew, Candy, Charlotte etc was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. We had a pool access room which was lovely. We often spent the afternoon napping and swimming. A special mention must go to Pop on reception, we had an issue with a tour company and she could not have done more to help us. However, as people have mentioned previously the star of the hotel is Baw at the pool. What a guy! As he said frequently your problem is my problem. Melia you should be so proud of all your staff they are what make the hotel so fabulous. We will be back (soon I hope)!

I come to this beautiful hotel quite often when I need to escape my own! An absolute oasis and always a lovely welcome. This is mainly a family hotel but because its so beautifully and smoothnessly run often all you can hear is the distant jolly laughter of sweet kids. Thank you for always being so kind and attentive. Happy Songkran to you all!

It’s rare that we find somewhere so perfect that we return more than once, yet we have just stayed for our 3rd time and made a reservation for next year already. We stayed in a premium room which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and really well equipped with excellent controllable air conditioning. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There’s a good hairdryer, iron and ironing board, kettle, coffee maker, and fridge. The electrical sockets don’t require adaptors. The bathrooms have a bath and shower cubicle and complimentary drinking water is put in your room every day. Robes and slippers are also provided. The hotel is set in beautifully stunning gardens lined with frangipani trees which lead to the main pool and beach. Breakfast is absolutely amazing. So much choice. We loved the iced coffees. One of the best things about this hotel are the wonderful friendly staff. They just can’t do enough to make you welcome and comfortable. Baw and his team are particularly attentive. He was constantly checking that everyone was comfortable around the pool and beach area. Keng was always there with a warm smile and greeting when we were arriving back or passing through reception. He made sure we had a taxi and was always eager to hear about where we were going. Evenings are quiet in the hotel but there are lots of bars and restaurants immediately outside the door and along the beach. We are very much looking forward to next March already.

The hotel and the beach were both stunning! The employees were all absolutely kind and we loved the food in the breeza! Especially Baw was incredibly nice to us and we enjoyed every day there! The only negative thing was, that our room was on a noisy street (at night we could hear the motorcycles) and we had little storage space for 5 people.

We highly recommend this hotel, can’t really fault it at all. We stayed in 2 Level pool access suites , as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We had interconnecting rooms. The rooms were spacious and very well kept , comfortable beds and we had no issues with noise from other rooms. The AC is also very effective. The main pool is large and has many shallower areas which would be perfect for little ones. We mainly used however the river pool that winds its way all around the hotel , meandering this way and that, with beautiful flowering trees and greenery all around it . There is always somewhere for sun or shade depending on which you are after. There are various water features as you go around, be it bubble, water spouts, massage jets etc. there is a swim up bar with a few cocktails, beer, wine, and ice creams, it’s had some chilled music during the day , and a happy hour from 2-4pm. There are also 2 slides into the pool which were popular with adults and kids alike. There were various activities during the day, yoga, badminton, boxing etc, a ping pong table and kayaks and a paddle board . There is also a room with a pool table and of course the spa and gym. The buffet breakfast was varied and delicious. There is cereal, pastries, salads, tropical fruits. pancakes, waffles, churros, muffins, a variety of bread, bacon and sausages, hash browns, an egg station, noodle station, various juices and smoothies , yoghurts and even and a few Asian dishes and Middle Eastern salads and dips etc. something for literally everyone. The Breeze restaurant was in a beautiful location and had delicious food, we ate there for lunch several days . We didn’t try the evening menu which had more meat and pasta etc. We ate Burgers, toasted sandwiches, pizzas, tapas, calamari , tacos and milkshakes and cocktails. They also had a kids menu. We only used the level lounge once , they had a variety of snacks and drinks during the day and cocktails of an evening. Skye in particular was very welcoming and helpful. Choeng Mon itself is perfect for families, or those wanting access to bars and restaurants , but not built up and hectic. Things quieten down around 10/11pm or so . There are places to eat on the beach , some massage places ( only around 300/400 Bhat for an hour ) and a place to rent jet skis right outside the hotel. It was 1700 Bhat for half an hour , 1200 I think for 15 mins. There are plenty of restaurants and bars , massage parlours and foreign exchange places, a pharmacy and a 7/11 all near the hotel in the main road. We recommend Mother and Mr Eung for great Thai , Pecore Nore for pizza, and on the beach Spice Zone and Pi Beachclub and Mira Serene. Finally, special thanks to Baw at the Breeze Restaurant who is one of the most genuine and friendly people we have come across in a hotel, he clearly loves his job and cares about his guests. He was just lovely. And also special thanks to Auto out in the reception/ front lobby , he was fabulous with the kids and again so kind and genuine, a real happy soul of a man. We encountered wonderful staff in the buffet at breakfast, the Breeze restaurant and also the cleaning staff who were very polite and sweet, the staff are a big asset to this hotel. Highly recommended .
