We have just returned from 10 wonderful nights at this guesthouse staying in the Master suite which is basically the entire top floor and with its own private balcony. The room was beautifully decorated and the overall facilities were second to none. John and Pimpan (together with her father) were extremely helpful and nothing was too much bother. The outside terrace and gardens were wonderful and with a maximum of 8 guests, the pool never got busy at all. The free lift to and from the airport were included together with a one way drop off every morning to Choeng Mon or Chaeng Beach. Just a wonderful time, so relaxing. Great location between the two resorts which meant a short tuk tuk ride each evening to a vast array of restaurants .

What a delight it was to visit this place. We had been to Phuket with it's many attractions and, yet, when compared to Ko Samui it was Ko Samui that got our vote as a family. The peaceful tranquility and setting of the Hideaway suites was a major contribution to our appreciation of this more traditional paradise! Wonderful service, personalised to the individual is without equal. Enough said from me, visit here to appreciate it.

The best bits :- we stayed in The Studio and it was a comfortable, stylish and clean room. The small tropical garden is delightful and peaceful, the pool refreshing and clean. The airport shuttle service worked perfectly. Our request to hire a scooter was met with efficiency. When Honey, a member of staff, was in attendance she was very sincere, helpful and kind. The let downs :- breakfast is basic at best (coffee consisted of a small lukewarm cup of water and a sachet of coffee granules - not what we expected in “affordable luxury”), a small bowl of fruit/yogurt (no choice), no cereals offered (even though it was on the menu), and a couple of slices of toast to share between 2 of us. The breakfast staff were uninterested, lacked training and enthusiasm. The evening food available to order was from a takeaway, although very tasteful the food was served cold and left on the table uncovered prior to our arrival, and with no offer of any drinks. Having reported a problem with the air conditioning no feedback was ever provided about the issue leaving an impression of not caring. On the morning of our final day we asked to eat at the guesthouse in the evening. Although this was agreed in principle no-one was available to attend to these needs. An observation was that Pimpan no longer featured at the guesthouse and taking regard of earlier excellent reviews we wondered if these changes could have contributed to a reduction in service and we hope that for the benefit of future guests this might be resolved.…

Hello from John at the Hideaway Suites. We were sorry to read that you had more minuses than pluses during your stay with us. I was here at the time (March April), and as you have used a nickname I cannot relate to a specific person/booking. Notwithstanding this I do not recall anyone drawing my attention to their disappointment! However I am the first to admit we had just gone through a major staff upheaval. The staff have now been changed again and we are confident that our standard is back up to the level we, and our guests, were always happy with. Ironically througout this difficult time we still acheived may 10/10 reviews on Booking.com, where we still are rated as 'exceptional' and 9.6/10. With regards to your breakfast comments, from years of experience, we find the majority of travellers are happy with a 'Continental' type of breakfast. All will appreciate that if we offer inclusive a-la-carte, then the night rate will increase. I am 100% confident that I will have personally told you at least once that if you would like top-ups or cereals "just ask". Extra toast or replacemet coffe/tea is not an issue and inclusive - there was no need to feel neglected. With regard to the Thai food menu, we do find that guests occasionally order for a specific time, but when we prepare and serve and advise them the food is ready, they do not appear to dine. Again the pricing is as an out-service and there to help guests enjoy excellent Thai food at an extremely inexpensive price in an intimate setting. Again, a comment at the time would have resolved any issues. We provide a room fridge and inform guests that they can bring their own drinks to the room. Our sign for the drinks and snacks we have on-site is headed 'Emergency Tuck Shop' and that is exactly what is is! Again our mantra of "just ask" usually works for guests. With regard to the aircon issue we would have been working behind the scenes to rectify - we pride ourselves with the standard kept with regrd to presentation of accommodation. Finally, as I don't know exactly who you are I cannot be 100% precise in my comments. If you would like to make contact with us directly by WhatsApp or email, I would be happy to discuss further. My family and I recently stayed 4 nights in a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa with laundry facilities managed by John in the same resort. The villa was spectacular, everything was so clean and well maintained and John was so helpful with everything. The location was perfect, close to town but far enough away to really relax. 5 start luxury, we could not have asked for more.

Stayed 4 nights just after Christmas 2018. John and Pimpan are the most amazing hosts - pick-up and drop-off at airport (which is conveniently close to the property), complimentary shuttle service to Choeng Mon or Chaweng beach (only 5-10min drive) and most importantly, great breakfasts, and also amazing dinner menu upon request (I ordered the tilapia fish one night, which was absolutely delicious!). I stayed in the studio suite which was very spacious, well-designed, offering all main amenities needed. I mostly enjoyed the quiet, beautiful and lush garden of the property, with a fabulous view out to the sea, wonderful pool and daybeds to relax. Absolutely recommend staying here as solo traveler or couple. If you’re comfortable riding a motorbike/scooter, then the location is perfect too, with easy access to beaches and small towns. I used Grab quite a bit, in addition to the complimentary shuttles offered by John and Pimpan, which was super convenient too. …

We have spent three nights at this extremely beautiful and peaceful retreat. It was the best place we have stayed at during our three week journey through Thailand! The owners Pimpan and John are truly kind people who were very helpful and considering. When we arrived and our room was not yet ready due to our last minute booking, they spontaneously gave us another, higher classed room for the same price when they saw I was really sick upon arrival. Thank you again for your kindness! The room we stayed in was the Guest Master Bedroom. It was simply amazing - spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and even had a walk-in closet and a bathtub! Breakfast was served in the common area close to the pool and was also very nice. The pool itself was clean and great for cooling down. Also, Pimpan helped us to rent a scooter which was delivered right in front of the door and which we could also easily return there. All in all, Pimpan and John really understand people’s needs and they highly contributed to making our stay in Koh Samui very delightful. We can highly recommend this place! …

Recently stayed here with my fiancee and her parents and found the accommodation to be spot on what we wanted. Everything was clean, tidy and professionally maintained. The rooms were spacious, welcoming, comfortable and private. We consistently found our hosts were always more then happy to help fulfill any request for services or information that we asked for and did so promptly without hesitation. More then happy to recommend this place to any couples or small groups looking for a great place to stay, less then 10mins from the middle of Chaweng beach but not located within the busy/noisy strip itself.

Having been once before in 2014 we chose Hideaway Suites for our engagement and it did everything and more that we hoped it would. Personal service from being picked up and dropped off at the airport to lifts to the supermarket John and Pin Pan are always there if you need them but in the background if you don’t. Excellent concept.

We stayed here for almost two weeks. Easily could have stayed longer. Had the possibility to be there it utmost peace as we were the only guests. The hosts John and Pimpan made us very welcome. Everything was organized to the point. Even the cleaning was on the level of my grandmothers and that is a lot! Rooms and the pool area were nice. The hotel itself was little bit side from the beaches which was good as it meant peacefull evenings. Still you could reach pubs and restaurants in 10min with a scooter. Highly recommended. Also remember to ask John about his forthcoming reality-tv show. Its gonna be epic!

Me and my boyfriend visited The Hideaway Suites for a weekend to celebrate his 30th Birthday. I booked the Master suite and I’m so glad I did because it was the most beautiful room I’ve ever seen! Decorated to perfection and absolutely huge. John and Pimpin were so helpful, keeping in contact over WhatsApp for anything we needed! The whole family were so lovely and were happy to accommodate when I asked if we could eat breakfast on our balcony on the day of my boyfriends birthday! So special! The pool and gardens are just incredible! And please make sure you try the food, the Tom Yum was so tasty! Can’t get enough of this place Jo & Chris P.s thanks for the fridge magnet!
