My wife and myself just spent 1 week at this resort, it it a bit away from shopping so a car or motor bike would be good to have. The staff were brilliant to say the least nothing was to much, the bunglow was immaculate from bedding to the bathroom it was just beautiful to the point where we didn't want to leave our little oasis, so as you gather we were wrapped with the location along with the quality of the resort
This place is awesome. Modern, clean apartments with fresh furniture. Nice view on sea and mountains. Very helpful stuff. They solved almost all our problems. Good, quiet location. Easy check-in. Airport pick-up. Easy bike rent.
The resort appears to be split into two different offerings, large self-catering villas (for families/groups) and smaller individual 1/2 bedroom villas operated as a hotel. We stayed in the latter. We had a villa with private pool, which had recently been refurbished and was modern, clean and spacious. The sea temperature was surprisingly warm during our visit so we were grateful for the shaded private pool which was particularly useful for keeping cool! The main hotel pool is also pleasant, but the water was pretty warm, too. The hotel loaned us masks/snorkels to explore the bay. Previous reviewers have complained about construction noise, during our stay it was evident that construction was taking place on the other site of the resort but we experienced minimal noise/disruption. There is some noise from planes coming in/out of Koh Samui airport but it wasn't a major issue for us. In general we found the hotel and beach very un-crowded and relaxing as it is located in a small bay on the north east tip of the island. The down side of this location is the need to take taxis (relatively expensive in Samui) into the larger towns on the island to access other amenities/markets/shopping etc. However, the Hotel provides a complimentary minibus everyday into Cahweng Beach at 1100, returning at 1700. The manageress spoke excellent English and was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We booked a Thai massage on our final day which was a memorable experience to end the trip! …
We had a holiday from 22 February to 22 March 2019. A building construction just 12 meters from our balcony. The noise was unbearable with drilling and banging from 8am to 6pm and could be heard behind close doors and around the swimming pool area. The main construction will take one year for the first stage that will finish approx July 2019 with another build starting and another 3 in front. Noise will be there for about 4 years. These apartments should not be rented out. There is a motorbike parking spaces directly under the balcony also taxi drop point. More noise and fumes. A very steep hill to the apartment with bad drain problems that could put your car out of action also badly lite at night. We were told the swimming pool has not been cleaned for 5 years the water was very jerky. Also constant noise with aircraft. The holiday was awful and very noisy the worst holiday ever.…
Hello readers, the room could do with some TLC. Complex is kept clean by excellent staff. The problem is that they are building 5 large villas in front of the apartments the noise is deafening from 08.00hrs to 18.00hrs 7 days a week/ a 2+ year build. Also you share the beautiful with the land and approach to koh samui airport past the left side of the building. Should you pick this block during construction good luck.bring some ear plugs and blinkers.😳😳😳
The Waterfront Hotel in Bophut, Koh Samui was recommended by a friend and what a place to stay. Literally on the beach at the beginning of the Fishermans Village. The hotel collected us from the airport and when we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel welcome from the start. Our room looked out to the pool and onto the sea beyond. The room was spotless, air con, mini bar (not expensive) Clean towels and beach towels every day. English breakfast if you wish included. The staff were fantastic. Along with Robin our host, nothing was to much. Although the pool was great it was fantastic to be chilling out on the beach. And not a sole around you. We stayed for one week over Christmas and then moved to Phuket. I really wish we had not moved. But I’d pre booked. I wanted to go back to my piece of paradise. Also you can walk out of the hotel and into the village where there are excellent shops bars and the best evening dining on the beach. I will definitely be back to the Waterfront and would highly recommend this place to anyone. One down side Man City lost 2 games during our stay, but hey not everything can be perfect 😊😊😊…

I recently stayed in The Bay with my Husband for 13 nights. We had a first floor one bedroom apartment. The unit had everything you needed to make it a home away from home. It was clean and bright and modern and was serviced twice a week. There is a swimming pool, gym and cafe on site. The complex is situated up a steep hill making the views of the sea etc stunning, but not so good to walk up. So I would say that it is essential to have some form of transport. We hired a car which was inexpensive and a great way to see the Island. Beware the taxi's on Koh Samui are expensive with no set rate. All in all a very nice relaxed stay.
We stayed here for 10 days. We had been in touch with the team before leaving the UK to arrange the price and transfer. The communication was good although a tad slow but as we used to live in Thailand this is no surprise to us. The apartment was very clean and had great views of Wat Plai Leam. Was slightly disappointed that all that was provided on arrival was 2 small bottles of water (4 people staying there). There wasn't even any washing up liquid. Fair enough there is a 7-eleven and Family Mart at the bottom of the hill but after a days travelling the last thing we wanted to do was trapse up a hill that even the postman couldn't get up on his motorbike. The staff were very smiley and friendly but not the most helpful. We didn't have any issues whilst staying there but when we went to check out we were given the bill for water and electric. This came to £97 for 10 days. When we questioned this we got told that it was the price for 4 people - 3 air con units even though it was supposed to be meter readings!! This is more than our monthly bill in the winter back home. Until 18 months ago we were living on Koh Samui and our monthly bill didn't even come to half of that so be prepared to pay over the odds on check out. You MUST have a car or motorbike when staying here as the hill is very steep. Although the security guy does make a good cheer squad to encourage you up the final few meters.…
