As a twosome we met up with another couple and made a foursome for coffee. The gorgeous inglenook was ablaze and the customers and hotel staff were cheerful and all in all it was a very good atmosphere. We were so happy with our homely surroundings we four stayed for lunch. The food was plentiful and fresh and in fact excellent. Not forgetting good...

Booked the Swan for News Years Eve and New Years day. Car park not the easiest place to find. Very old Hotel with a lot of features. Spent New Years Eve in the bar with the locals and very good night. Staff are really friendly and Breakfast was superb. Only down size was lack of heating during a very cold...

I do not usually put reviews on Trip Advisor now but I felt I needed to this time. Now I like the quirkiness of this hotel. I like the character of the place and I love the fact that the locals use it. There is a roaring fire in the bar. We had a good breakfast both days particularly on...

This Hotel is fine for an overnight stay. Right in the centre of Harleston. Their car park takes some finding though. Room comfortable. With a four poster bed. Room we had was overlooking the main street, but after about 11.00 pm there was not nosie. Hotel is rather full of "Tripping Hazards" although we were warned about these, not good...

I arrived after dark and it took ages to find the place. No real signage outside and the sign they did have was really faded. Then you enter and find a sign saying if reception is unmanned please go to the bar. Well I can tell you reception hasn't been manned for some time. It was a dumping ground! I...

A centuries old inn, this felt like a local pub with rooms, that has seen better days. Full of timbers and beams, and wonderfully 'wonky'. It was nice to meet Robin and all the staff. We had quite a long wait for someone to attend to reception, as it seemed there were not enough staff. They also had us confused...

A return visit to the Swan Hotel and a thoroughly great 4 night stay. So good to meet Robin, Luke and Jean again and the other staff at the Hotel who made our stay such a good one. Very comfortable room at the front of the Hotel this time, which enabled us to see Harleston wake up each morning and...

We spent a night in the hotel as we were attending a wedding nearby. All the staff were incredibly attentive, the room was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay greatly. The only downside was that the water pressure was not sufficient for a good shower.
