Hotel barely rates being just okay. The location is beyond awful, we saw a man shooting up on the street from our window. Filthy area, covered in graffiti and razor wire and very sketchy. There are nice areas and this isn't one of them. We had a suite, the bathroom was tired and the floor in need of a good vacuum. Cheap touristy place in bad area. Run. Nothing 5 star about it.

Room was not ready for us and once we eventually gained access we walked into a wet bathroom floor ( a hazard) . Hair on the bathroom floor tiles. Complimentary tea etc didn’t appear to have been replenished or perhaps is just always remarkably stingy. The shower cubicle leaked badly and it was impossible to shower without flooding the floor and requiring the use of all the towels to mop up. Breakfast was a disgrace for a five star hotel. Lots of issues, for example chipped cups , dirty plates, tables not cleared etc. Impossible to get any assistance by telephone from the room no matter which buttons pressed. Extensions were not answered at all, one had a recorded message which we could not interpret and eventually when someone on the housekeeping extension did pick up thet abruptly said they couldn’t help. This was a very disappointing end to group tour. You really should not take group bookings that you are not able to manage, Best aspect of the stay was visiting the Alexander the Great restaurant opposite which was exceptional.

Stayed here for one night at the end of a group holiday and had been told that the hotel was great. Sadly that was not my experience. On arrival, we were told that our rooms weren't ready, as some guests had checked out late and a lot of people were checking in. It was 2 & a half hours before we were shown to a double room, when we had booked a twin (no acceptance of the fact that the hotel had changed our room, and no apology given, simply a statement that there were no other rooms available). The room itself (comfortable bed) and bathroom were OK, and clean, but definitely not 5*. The air conditioning needed adjusting. Rooftop bar staff were very inattentive & it took ages to get served. Breakfast was chaotic - too many people for the space available and several items of food, plus crockery and cutlery had run out. Would have loved an early morning swim, but the pool doesn't open until 11.00 am. Some communal areas, eg WCs in the basement, were scruffy.

My room was on the 5 floor. Higher up does get a view of the Parthenon. The bed and pillows were very comparable and the bathroom new with toiletries, magnified mirror. The shower only had an overhead shower,so used the one in the bath. The air con took some time to bring the temperature down to a comfortable range. The bar on the 9th floor had fabulous views over the Parthenon. Breakfast was unfortunately disappointing. The coffee machine coffee was awful and the hot chocolate had sugar already added. I don't drink tea so had a mint tea. Fortunately the room had a proper coffee machine so I was able to have my coffee fix before breakfast. The hotel did not offer an omelette service which is a pity. They provided buffet style fried eggs and scrambled. Limited items to go with the eggs. And fairly limited fruit selection. Shame

We were part of an organised group spending one night here. The hotel would have known to expect 160 people arriving. We were told our rooms were not ready as previous guests had been late checking out. Or room was not ready until 1730. However we were shown to a room already occupied, and then shown to another room also occupied. We finally got into a room at 1745, a double when we had asked for a twin. At no time did anyone apologise and we had to ask for some compensation, a complimentary drink! Breakfast the next morning was equally chaotic with no bowls, cups and cutlery! Poor show.

Dear Guest, We are really sorry about this unfortunate situation. We hate to hear stories where people leave the hotel feeling disappointed, especially when the problem relies on our staff. Our employees undergo a lot of training on improving customer service, but if you feel disappointed that is simply not acceptable. We understand your dissatisfaction, but we hope that although you have had this experience, we will be able to welcome you back in the future to ensure your next stay is much more satisfactory. Kind Regards, Maria Tzahani General Manager

The hotel itself is lovely. However the customer service is just not there. We booked a room / paid for for 3 adults when we arrived after our room was only made up for two people, including only two beds. This was resolved after speaking to reception twice a camp bed was finally brought to the room…which was very uncomfortable. We also had to ring every day to get the correct number of towels brought to the room. It felt like you had to ring serval times to get anything done, things which should be done automatically. The room which serves breakfast is too small to accommodate the number of guest at the hotel, it is a struggle to find a table. Breakfast itself was fine. The hotel is in a good location with a 10 Min walk to the center and the metro station literally across the road.

Very disappointing hotel and service. We have reservations for five months but arrived with no room ready. I have been waiting 2 1/2 hours for a room and still nothing. No seating in the vastly overcrowded lobby. It is literally filled with tired travelers and luggage! Plus, the lobby is blaring too loud techno music to add to the atmosphere of chaos. Never again!

Located near city center so you can access many places by walking. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The arrangement driver for our dinner and ride to the airport. The hotel had a to-go breakfast ready for our early morning departure. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. I would stay there again.

The hotel is very dated. It was not a cheap stay and unfortunately it didn't even include breakfast - my fault should have researched better. A lot further from all the tourist attractions than I thought. Gad to take the metro
