The hotel is situated in the city centre next to the central square between Monastiraki and Omonoia. The upper floors have good vision, breakfast is excellent, cleanliness is also very good. The rooms are very nice, each floor has a different color.

Nice budget hotel, fairly clean with very good breakfast, and a very helpful lady at the reception. The location is great. The rooms are ok, nothing special (you get what to pay for) but the Akropolis view changes everything and lifts your spirit up! Definitely recommended!

Never judge a book by it's cover. Dont get intimidated by the location or rumors. We arrived at around 10:00pm on New Year night by metro from airport dismbarked at Monastiraki station, a 7 minute walk takes you straight to the hotel which is located on your left. The hotel is located centrally and equdistant from Omonia or Monastiraki stations,...

Dear Stella-Teddy D, We are very happy to know that your stay at the hotel was a positive experience. We are certainly not a five star hotel. As classified, we are just a three star hotel and we provide the very best to our clients including very clean rooms, customer service, rich buffet breakfast, different types of rooms, top location...

When we arrived, we were very surprised to see the doors to our hotel right in front of the vegetable market... and then we went in those doors to be just as surprised to see how bright and fun it was inside. Besides the beautiful, clean rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location, our favorite feature was the rooftop bar with...

Located in the center of the market this hotel was a fantastic surprise! When I came upon the silk screened glass vegetable doors, I wasn't expecting much, once inside and and checked in, it appeared to be a standard budget hotel, until I opened the curtains! Pay for the upgrade to an Acropolis View Room! Loved laying in bed and...

The hotel is amongst flea markets, fish and fruit and veg markets. But once you go through the hotel doors you are in a clean, safe and secure hotel. Outside activities disappear. The location is excellent and close to all main attractions. It is an easy journey from the airport to the hotel on the Metro and the cheapest way...

We showed up at the hotel to escape a horrible airbnb situation and they were able to put us in a room right away. Seriously saved our weekend trip. The hotel is by no means 5 star but for the price it is a fantastic value. The room was nice and warm and the breakfast was very nice. For people...

Small and narrow hotel, with rooftop bar. We asked to be moved down to floor 7 due to hearing the music. Great view if facing the Acropolis. When we first approached the area, like much of Athens, lots of graffiti and appeared a little scary but it's very safe and in the morning the whole area is a lively market....

Many people might be surprised but İ really liked the location of this hotel. Acropolis view. Breathtaking. Breakfast the best. Overall, except for location , this hotel is better than sister Plaka Hotel. Neighborhood is a bit borderline but cool funky. Not a far walk, or short taxi to heart of Plaka

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
