Good value : excellent secluded bar on the 7th floor: Olga at reception is one of the most helpful attendants ever. A very friendly concierge. Excellent breakfast selection. Walking distance from the city centre. Rooms are a shade small but tastefully designed.

Beautiful hotel and well done. Excellent bar and views. Watch the lights come on around you over a glass of wine. Nice to sit out on your patio and take in Athens. They have everything you need and easy access to site see.

Excellent services, friendly and welcoming staff. Tasty and luxurious breakfast. Clean and nice rooms and bathrooms. Central location, ideal for tourism, sightseeing and business. WiFi included in the room, but not working at all times-unknown reason. Booked through company, but rather expensive, checking the online price.

I stayed here during 2 nights and very mutch enjoyed it. The room is spacious, very good bed, spacious shower, fast WiFi. The only negative is the noise from the street. You should have the window-door closed, but since I don't like to sleep with the airco on I have it open with that consequence. The hotel has a very...

We stayed in Athens one night on our way to Naxos. The New Hotel is in the city center and a perfect place to stay to see all of the historic sights! The room was cozy and modern. We had a nice city view. I loved the roof top restaurant and bar. The service, food and drinks were great! I...

After reading raving reviews about the brunch at the New Hotel, we were excited to try it. Well, what a disappointment. The food was not bad, but it is grossly overpriced. And there is very little variety. 16 euros for plain scrambled eggs with a slice of salmon on top? No thought put into it, no inspiration. The worst part...

I choose this hotel because it seemed to be in walking distance to the Akropolis which it is. And from the price performance ratio point of view I made the right choice. The room was in a modern design and had everything, even though it was a bit small. So was the bathroom. I am more used to big bathrooms...

We travel around the world and prefer boutique hotels. This hotel encompass all the things we look for. The combination of architecture, design and art is outstanding. The location couldn't be any better. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The level of housekeeping was, also, top. The only thing that we missed was a coffee/tea maker in the room.

Stayed for two nights with my partner during NYE holidays. We never heard the word "no", which reminds me the quite famous hospitality proverb "The answer is Yes, Sir, now please ask me the question". So yes... This is a YES hotel. Great breakfast, nice ambience. I have stayed 15 years ago in the hotel that used to be in...

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
