Hotel is within short walking distance of the Metro and so is a good base for exploring the city. The breakfast was reasonable and had plenty of options. The staff I encountered were friendly. Room was clean and had a reasonably sized balcony. Not luxurious but definitely great value.

Incredibly noisy … enquired if there was another room to be told no fully booked … went online and plenty of rooms available to book for today Was advised breakfast was until 10… arrived just before ten to be told ‘finished’ on a weekend it is only until 9.45 … could not even get a coffee Checking out now and going to another hotel … real shame there is very little customer focus

The Hotel is friendly clean and has the advantage of a plunge pool on the roof with excellent views of Athens. The room was clean bright and had excellent air conditioning. Hotel staff were kind and helpful especially the reception staff.

The hotel was okay, not really suitable for more than a few nights, the staff were all very nice and helpful. The hotel is in a dodgy part of Athens and we felt very unsafe as soon as we stepped out, it’s also next to a very busy road and tram line so it’s very noisy. Overall the hotel was okay just for sleeping but felt very unsafe outside of it especially as a female in Athens.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. One of the highlights was the location, it was only a 5 minute walk to the hop on hop off stop. The staff were absolutely fantastic, super friendly and extremely helpful. They ordered us a taxi and made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were alright, a bit outdated but comfortable. We loved the roof bar, where u could overlook athens and the pool was enjoyable when it was quiet and no kids running around. Breakfast was also quite good, your traditional cuisine was on offer. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone touring Athens.

Decent hotel, pool is absolutely beautiful. Rooms are a little out of date but fine for just sleeping! Only downside was If you were not in the room the power won’t be on meaning that if you had drinks in the fridge it won’t be cold Close to the train station and about 15-30 min walk to the main parts or Athens

I really booked this place because of the rooftop pool! The rest of the hotel is outdated and sound proofing isn’t great! The rooms are pretty big, tv, fridge, hair dryer, balcony. The lack of outlet to plug and charge devices is a problem. The location is ok, the breakfast buffet is good! Overall for the price I am paying the hotel is good!

This hotel offers an excellent service and clean facilities. The staff are friendly, professional and efficient and they are taking the current coronavirus situation seriously. The hotel is a two-minute walk from the Metaxourghio metro station, which is very convenient. We had stayed there before and hope to go there again in the not-too-distant future. Thank you!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights on our way out of Greece. We were looking for something comfortable, clean, central and affordable. Candia hotel is all of these. The man at reception (I think his name is George) was very friendly and suggested sights to see around Athens in great detail and provided a map. They also happily printed our Ryan Air boarding pass at the front desk. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Acropolis. The pool was closed during our stay due to Covid measures.
