We spent 2 weeks in Athens in late summer, the hotel is a 5 min walk from Syntagma Metro on the Plaka side. We took others advice and asked for a 7th floor room but not all have views of the Acropolis, so you need...More
We recieved a warm and helpful welcome, we were escorted to our room, given maps and good advice. The location is excellent. We could see the Acropolis from our room. The breakfast was good and served on the top floor so you can have your...More
Hotel was ok. We planned on site seing so the room didn't matter. The location was great, the staff was friendly, breakfast was good. I could see some people being upset with the rooms, they are very plain and outdated. If I had one complaint...More
This was not my first choice of hotel in Athens--the hotel we originally booked with was overbooked, so they put us here for a night. My first impression of the hotel was that the lobby was polished and clean; the receptionists were also extremely friendly....More

Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents,
bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
