I stayed for 2 nights. This hotel is often full on weekends. The reception staff were quite helpful with all what I needed of information speaking good English. Its a walking distance from the acropolis and its museum. I found it renovated enough compared to two hotels just around the corner from it. The special about it is the view...

The hotel is about five minutes away from the Syntagma Square tube station. It is very central and walking distance to Ermou and Acropolis. The staff were really kind and friendly. All in all, it has been a good stay. The only negative thing I can say is the rooms were not exactly same as on the pictures. But still...

This is a very good choice in Athens. View of Acropolis from roof bar is excellent. Service is very friendly and efficient no matter who is at the front desk or what time of day. Location is just perfect for getting to the sights. Thanks !!

I am going to jump right to the points : - Walking distance to Acropolis and surrounding sightseeing venues : Ancient Agora, Acropolis museuam, temple of Zeus, etc etc - Walking distance to shops and restaurants in Plaka - Walking distance to metro, even though I hadn't tried it. - Rooms are clean but they wont change your towels everyday...

We stayed three nights. The room and bath were spartan, but we had a view of the Acropolis from our balcony. Breakfast had a good variety and also view of the Acropolis. The management was accommodating, because I had requested a view room far in advance, and we were given that room. There is also a room for 3 with...

The title I wrote is representing the condition of the hotel. Since this is the budget hotel, the hotel room is small and you have to be "smart" where you want to put your big luggage since there is not enough space. This will also include the tiny bathroom. But as I said, you get what you paid and nothing...

The rooms were basic, functional and simple, but provided everything you needed. The location was absolutely perfect! It was wonderful to eat breakfast on the rooftop balcony with Acropolis views! We left our passports in the hotel safe and went to the airport (moment of madness-don't ask!). Since we had so little time the hotel arranged for a taxi to...

It's a very centrally located hotel. The rooms are not so big , the bathroom was so so little. But the price is well and we were not deserving more. The beds were comfortable. It was not a noisy street and there were no sounds coming from outside but the cleaners are working so noisy... Wi-fi access was quite well...

As other reviewers have noted, the hotel is well situated to stroll through the Plaka, walk to the Acropolis, the gardens surrounding Parliament, and catch the Hop On Hop Off bus. Yes, the rooms are small but typical of many European hotels and were spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely helpful, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the view from...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
