I spent 3 nights in Grecotel and the first impression was lovely for the high level of the offered service: personnel is really lovely! Private parking for 8€/day highly recommended since the surrounding is not rich in spaces. Consider also that Athens is not 100% safe, unfortunately, and also the very city center (as this hotel location) is not the...

we already stayed here twice and probably next time we will choose the same. the rooms are very nice, clean, hotel stuff really nice and the food was great. Breakfast was very good, with lots of local food but also fruits, deserts, pastries. Good expresso and some very nice carafe with water with fruits, mint or basil. Also dinner was...

very funky arty hotel, excellent price for a 5 star hotel, staff were great, breakfast huge and varied. funky touches in rooms, like a huge green hippo. Views from our rooms were a but grim, an abandoned office block, not much you can do about that. Very good all round would recommend it

Spent four days with my family (2 kids 7 and 5 years old) in Athens and at Pallas Athina. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a bigger room and the room was excellent. The breakfast at the hotel was very nice and they had a great variety of things to choose from. We also had dinner at the restaurant which...

This hotel was really cool! We stayed for one week in May 2016 and loved the trendy style of both the lobby and the actual rooms. The staff were really great and were so helpful when I experienced an issue with Expedia and did their best to try to make the situation better for me. The breakfast buffet was quite...

I stayed at the Pallas Athena for 5 nights with my girlfriend and were really expecting opulence however we found that the hotel came up short. A case of style over substance if you will. When you walk into the lobby you expect something special. It's cool, funky and slightly grungy (a perfect reflection of Athens). Our welcome was courteous...

Deep in the heart of one might call a gritty city, lies Pallas Athena Grecotel hotel surmounted by Graffiti an arsenal shop and the majestic beauty of Athens! A small boutique hotel by design that focuses on local-street artist and incorporates their designs in individual room with statement rooms ,this hotel is a must stay if you would like to...

We had a wonderful 5 night stay here. They went above and beyond for us, from room upgrades to airport transfers. It was comfortable, classy and centrally located. Close to everything! I really feel like this hotel is perfect for getting to know the authentic reality of Athens. I would come back again and I suggest that you stay here.

Quirky decor, but tasteful. Easy to train station and a short stroll away from Plaka. Many nice shops and restaurants in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They also recommended some excellent restaurants in the area when we asked. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was big and comfortable too. My favourite part of the...

Staying in Omonia

Neighbourhood Profile
Omonia
Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its underground stalls, the square is now mostly frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a sense of old commercial Athens, especially at the picturesque meat, fish and vegetable markets some way beyond the City Hall. The blocks to the west of Athinas are home to many Chinese and South Asian traders, adding a multicultural atmosphere to what was until the late 1990s a very homogenous society.
