The location is good and is very close to most of the tourist destinations to be visited in Athens. The rooms are very small, especially the bathroom which was too small. Though they have view of the acropolis from the balcony it was obstructed with ugly buildings and satellite dishes on top of other bldgs. The wifi was not working...

Comfortable, nice town hotel 5 min walk from Omonia Square. Not in the best neighborhood and it is not recommended to walk around after 9pm. But, the hotel staff are very kind and they really want to help. Rooms are small and basic. Walls are very thin so you can hear what is happening on your floor during whole night....

Booked this hotel with rewards points. They had a really good photographer take pictures for the website. It is in a decent location near a metro stop, but that's about it. We lucked out somehow and got a top floor room with a view, albeit filled with satellite dishes, of the Parthenon. The room was fine and actually had one...

If there is no place to stay, then and only then choose this hotel. The only good it's in the city center so everything is in a walkind distance. The toilet looked really bad. It's better to bring your own breakfast :-)

first of all be prepared for the walk to and from the station- its abt 10-15 mins one way so not exactly CLOSE- the map makes it look much closer than it is. Secondly, this place is an urgent need of an upgrade- it is old and looks it! The one saving grace of this hotel is the staff which...

We are three guys in our late 20s early 30s. We just flew back to Athens after going to several of the Greek islands and Barcelona... First the directions from google and other sights make the hotel seem like its closer to the metro stop then it really is (much closer). The neighborhood it is in seems very sketchy and...

I spent one week at the Athens Odeon whilst exploring Athens and overall had a great experience. The staff are really friendly and helpful, especially Theodore who has lots of great advice and information about what to do. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. It's near Gazi the best place for clubbing and I definitely...

My family booked this room through Hotel.com and we were there in June 2014. Our first night was OK until an angry wife of the owner moved us out of our room because "we did not pay for street view". She speaks no English and was so impatient we had to move and will not even let us pay extra...

Rooms are clean, the acropolis view is wonderful on the 7th stage. The reception is always open and helpful. Don't hesitate to drink a glass in the bar, cause it's really nice and affordable. The breakfast is free, at will.

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
