What is the worst thing a hotel can do before your arrival when you have booked several months in advance? Answer: Give your room to someone else. Yes they did, and gave us a ‘budget' room instead for our first night. This was tiny, with a magnificent close up view of a concrete wall and with a bathroom which would...

Room was modern, clean and satisfactory. Bathroom was amazing (just remember to only pull the cord in the shower for emergencies). Staff were very polite and friendly. A special recognition must go to Vassilli aka Bill , for his helpfulness in organizing a rental car for us. Wifi had good reception in the room and elevator to the room was...

It was a real downer!!! Arriving tired..and be confronted with...a dirty room without curtains...loose safe (who won't even close!) The reception boy was very friendly and after trying by himself to fix it, proposed me another room....which was just as ugly, dirty and with a bonus of a very dirty toilet!!! I guess you understand that this was too much...I...

Located convienently near Sytigma Square and Ermou Street, this hotel was great. Only issue I had was the bathroom door was made of frosted glass which when traveling with a friend could be a little uncomfortable. Also the the shower had no shower door, so you have to shower carefully to not wet the entire floor. pricing wasn't too bad...

Hotel Niki has a good location that is within short walking distance to the major attractions. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony but is just overlooked the street below with not much of view. The room itself was dated and had some deferred maintenance. The bathroom was oddly designed but functional. The room was clean and...

Stayed here for 2 nights - good central location - our room was on the 6th floor and we have an unobstructed view of the Acropolis - beautiful at night. We walked everywhere from here so would recommend o that basis. Clean but definitely "worn". Service from the maid was excellent - she even folded my washing for me! We...

The staff at this hotel is really helpful and there's a delicious restaurant just up the road and you're centrally located with great shopping and neighbourhoods, walk to the Acropolis etc. The room is fairly nice though the beds are hard and the bathroom shower is small and needs a better way (curtain or enclosure) to keep the water in...

Hotel Niki is quite small...so is the lift! Our room (501) followed this trend and was tiny, but quiet, with a large, very comfortable bed, an empty but handy fridge, great air-conditioning and a nice sized balcony...unfortunately with no view. There were no tea/coffee making facilities. The shower-room/WC was ridiculously minute with a hand held shower head and a solid...

Great location,at the pedestrian distance of most attractions in the city(akropolis, plaka, syntagma etc...\)Fully secure parking just 10m away. Breakfast is very bad.Hotel is just for overnight sleeping, room is too small for anything else.Excellent front desk reception. Walking distance to everything. Very nice breakfast room with friendly staff.

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
