6nights in late Aug early Sept. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Midway between Plaka and Syntagma everything is in walking distance. The rooms are smallish and comfortable rather than opulent. The bathroom is really...umm..tight. Don't consider a shower with the wife. Breakfast included is adequate at best. We parked immediately in front for 4 nights.

We were in Athens for one night and I was looking for a hotel within walking distance from Syntagma Square so that it would be convenient to hop on the X95 bus to the airport the next day. When you are hauling 4 suitcases, 4 carry-ons and 4 backpacks you don't want to walk too much. This hotel was indeed...

Stayed here for a night. Very run down place. Dirty and totally uncharming. AC dident work and rooms where warm and stuffy (old furniture stuffy). Breakfast was a disaster. Only good thing about this hotel is its location.

Omiros Hotel is in a great location to get to all of the main attractions in Athens. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good. Best of all, the staff was excellent. They suggested unique places to visit, the best spot to grab a taxi, what to expect for fares, and places to find a great meal and shopping. An...

In Athens you pay for location, not amenities. I highly recommend this hotel for the fact that we were able to walk to all the top sights easily, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was easily 1/2 of the more sparkly hotels next door. We spent very little time in our room outside of sleeping so we...

The staff of the Omiros took us in after we had a terrible experience with Airbnb that led to three of us being homeless at 2am. They gave us a great rate, an wonderful breakfast and helped us try and find another place to stay since they were booked up the second night we would be in town. Our room...

The location is perfect for visiting the surrounding attractions. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I had a room for my family of four which was very cramped. When all beds were in use, there was no room to put the luggage anywhere. Bathroom was small and did not have any storage space for toiletries.

For the price, this was a wonderful experience. Omiros is so centrally located, and has brilliant bars and restaurants within a few hundred yards. The room was light, airy and had two balconies. The bed was very comfortable, the service first class and the staff on the reception desk exceptional. Breakfast good, some room for improvement [fruit and more variety...

The location is great and easy to find from syntagma square. Few minutes walk to parliament and the shopping street. We paid 75 euro for one night and was not worth the hotel. The breakfast was not upto the mark, the rooms are pretty ok. The price doesnt justify the rooms. The best part is locker system and location of...

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
