Ideal if you have to have an early start to get a ferry at Piraeus. Nothing fancy, but very nice, clean, cosy, and just right. Would go back when visiting other islands in Greece and have to stop over in Athens.

This hotel was recommended to us by friends. What a wonderful place this was at reasonable rates. The hotel was centrally located to various historical sites and shops. The views from the rooftop restaurant were magnificent. We were able to look directly across to the Acropolis which is lit at night! Spectacular!

The frontage of the hotel was very narrow with a flight of stairs upto the reception desk & no lift or anyone to help with bags so you need to be able to carry your bags at least 3 flights to get to the first floor of rooms, no coffee/tea making facilities on the property. But hot water & comfy...

After a groggy 5am start I finally checked in at the Electra hotel. I was greeted by an elderly gentleman on the desk. Things got off to an OK start, his English was limited but better than my basic Greek. After a little confusion trying to explain the situation I was in regarding an air traffic control strike I was...

If you're in Athens and you're looking for a hotel to lodge in for the night near the Piraeus port because you have an early boat ride to the Cyclades the following day with affordable daily rates then this place is a definite contender. The hotel is just a good 5 minute walk to the Piraeus port and to the...

Stayed here on the way back from the islands. It's clean, no lift to the upper floors so you need to take that into consideration but it's very close to port. A bakers next door and restaurants close. Very cheap and I would stay again!

The hotel has a perfect location, immediately in front of Piraeus port, great for a stopover to or from the Greek islands or for exploring Athens and Piraeus for a couple of days. If you have a car, there are several parking spaces (paid) nearby. It may be noisy at all times, something normal for a big city. A very...

One of the cheapest hotels very close to the port, excellent for a night before an early morning ferry departure. The room was average but everything worked. TV had BBC world if you want English news. Staff were helpful in getting my heavy bag up and down the stairs. No lift.

I wanted to book several tooms for our volunteers helping out in the harbour where there are inofficial camps for refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Irak and Pakistan. First he had rooms but when he understood that we where volunteers he had nothing available suddenly and said he wanted no connections with people "who helpes the Syrians".

I came early in the evening in Pireus, having ticket to go to Crete. The ferry boats were on strike for 48 hours.Being very, very tired, travelling already all day, I was looking for a nice, clean and quiet place to spend a night, close to the port.Somebody recommended another, cheap hotel but Electra was on my way.And the street where the hotel was wasn't dark. I...
