Very nice hotel. Yannis the manageris very very nice I feeled spoled from him!!! The price is very good and the location is perfect. You can go on footto the nice beach. I was so happy t that I decided to book for another week. Patrizis
I arrived at 1.30 am and as promised my details were inside the lobby i found my room and was really impressed. I walked onto my balcony and the veiw down onto the bay was fantastic. The apartment served all i wanted whilst i was here. And Yannis the owner, and all of the staff were so friendly. in fact i enjoyed it so much i am hoping to return in october.
Eleni Studios again provided a good option for us to self-cater while enjoying the great weather and pleasant atmosphere of Ag Nik. The family who manages the Studios also runs Kri Kri restaurant and guests are regularly encouraged to try its menu during their stay.
Yannos provided attentive, caring, and generous hospitality at Eleni Studios. Chilly plunge pool was available 8 to 8 and there was a sun deck above it with loungers. Our apartment was a good budget option: housekeeping, cute decorations, Greek TV, no microwave, but hot plates, kitchenware, electric kettle, cabinets and an adequate refrigerator. Shower was adequate too and there was another poolside. Towels, starched sheets, hand and dishwashing liquids, and free WiFi were amenities. Very nice views from the balcony, sun deck and poolside. Small chain supermarket across the street; larger one a couple of blocks away on the same street. Town center was a downhill, kilometer-long walk, also on the same street. Seaside/Promenade shopping and eating options were down a pair of small steep roads or down a 110+ step staircase. …
Don't be put off by the low price this place is great value. Situated on the main road into town, plenty of free road side parking, approx 1km to the centre. Yannis the owner is a fountain of local knowledge and will sort out any problems you may have. Lovely local bakery, coffee shop and cheap restaurant . Try it you won't be disappointed.
Me and my partner were lucky to stay with Yannis for one week in September. The room is equipped with everything you will need for your stay and there is also complementary wifi. Eleni Studios is well situated with short walking distances between the different areas of the town. Yannis was a great host, very helpful and clearly passionate about what he does. I would recommend staying here to anyone, its great value and completed our holiday.
Comfortable and good value. Eleni studios had everything we needed. 1 bed apartment (rm 14) with small balcony plus there was free Wi-Fi and a small pool and sun terrace (just outside our door!). Yannis the owner could not have been more helpful. Rooms were regularly cleaned, linen and towels changed frequently. We were 5-10mins walk from the main town, lake, harbour and marina. Excellent restaurants and cafes. Bus station 5 mins walk. Supermarket across the road. There were beaches nearby but the best one we found was 30 mins walk 'Golden Beach' - worth the walk!.
We stayed here for 8 nights at the beginning of September. We arrived to the owner Yannis showing us around and giving us a bottle of his homemade Raki and some of his figs. It was very hot but we chose not to pay the E7 extra per night for air-con because we were on a bit of a tight budget. Frustrating as we thought the room included it, but with electricity prices as high as they are in Greece, we felt they were justified in charging for it. Yannis was a fantastic host, and drove us on his scooter to drop off our laundry at a local launderette (we had been backpacking in Italy for a week) and for me to pick up some money from an ATM. The property itself is in a traditional Cretan style, with a wonderful patio garden at the entrance that is clearly lovingly tended by Yannis and his wife. There is a small pool which we used every day before breakfast. It isn't really for swimming, more of a dip-pool really. We had room 3, which had a balcony that looked out over Ammoudi beach and the mountains beyond. Decorated with dried plants and local fabrics, it was charming and quaint. The little kitchenette was fairly well equipped with two electric hobs, a kettle, a fridge, a plethora of mis matched crockery and cutlery, and all of the other essentials you would expect. Our toaster didn't work, and there was no oven but it didn't bother us too much. The only real problem we had was with the shower. The bathroom was really tiny to start with and was in a wet room style. So using the shower usually meant the whole room got a good drenching. The head didn't work properly, so it was more of a hose than a spray, and it wasn't properly attached to the wall. We also ended up with water all over the bathroom and kitchen every time we used it because the curtain was practically useless. This is something that could so easily be rectified so we were a bit baffled as to why Yannis had left it to get that bad. Walking to the beach was lovely with stunning views all the way down the 150 steps to the sand. Coming back up was tough going at times in the belting heat, and we're both young and fit. So this may be something to consider for others. Yannis will try to get you to come in to his Tavern for drinks and food, which we did on a few occasions. Honestly priced, tasty food and reasonably priced local beers and wine were on the menu. Yes he'll give you a few nudges to keep you coming back. But it's a great place to eat, and is helping keep Yannis in business. I went with 10 others to their Greek night, with dancing and plate smashing. Yannis provided a complimentary bottle of Cretan sparkling wine for my brothers 21st birthday and plenty of Raki for afters. We had a cracking evening!! We would definitely return, as long as the shower is fixed properly next time! Thank you Yannis. …
The hotel is on the main road into Agios Nikolaos and is a 5 min walk from the town centre & lake. We stayed for a week and had a car which we managed to park on the road immediately in front of the apartments. The room we had (room 8) was perfect for our needs with a comfortable bed, bathroom with shower, kitchenette etc. The room was clean and the towels and bedding changed every 2 days. The owner Yanis went out of his way to help us as much as he could and when we arrived there was a slight problem with the fridge not working for which he had an electrician round the next morning to rectify. Also, if you see him, ask for one of his oranges from his own trees - best we've ever tasted. The wifi was fast and completely free and the small balcony was ample for us to eat on in the mornings. The mini market across the road is ideal as well as you can get everything you could need there. I'm not sure what other reviewers expected from this property because the facilities, welcome and service we got for the price we paid was amazing. We were after a cheap stay in the area and we got much more than we paid for thanks to Yanis and this great little hotel. Many thanks Yanis, we will see you in the Kri Kri in September.…
Friendly and helpful owner. In the middle of the center and close to everything. Big plus: supermarket across the street. The room (15) was large, clean and cool. Well equipped kitchenette. Free WiFi and nice sun terrace with beds and small swimming pool (!) Value for money, no complains at all.
