Stayed for just over a week in September. Breakfast only - junior suite Lovely hotel and staff, very friendly and helpful. No language barriers with English at all. Room was a junior suite - pleasant, clean with few furnishings - we asked for an iron and kettle, given with no extra charge. When we go next time, I will be asking for a sea view facing room, as that was the only downside, the courtyard isn’t the same. Food - breakfast good, various selections available. Quite bread based but that didn’t bother me! Restaurant superb, lovely setting overlooking the sea and the waiters are very helpful and deliver a good speed of service - all food made fresh and its a good price! Beach - lovely setting and water, just across the road from the hotel. Never an issue finding a seat (unless your ridiculously late) and beach bar service again very friendly and good. Thanks Janus. Location - really ideal. 10 euros to get into Agios Nikalaos town and Vouslima beach 20 mins up the road. We used a hire car to get there. Local shop next door to the hotel which we regularly used. All in all, considering we had 2 days of overcast, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend it. If there was any advice / improvements I would give it would be a bit more selection on breakfast and more things to do within the hotel on those rainy days (thinking downstairs bar or a games room if you can find the space) Zero complaints all together! Definitely ignore the haters. I recommend this hotel to couples, old and young - particularly if you want some R&R - peace and quiet.…
Excellent location, near Agios Nikolaos and very nice hotel , friendly staf, good restaurant .Excellent food ,nice sea & beautiful beach as well a nice coffee by the beach ⛱️ 😀 Very good choice for everyone one . Very friendly place and very clean too.👌
Great location by a sandy beach. Very warm welcome and all staff were eager to help and ensure an enjoyable stay. The hotel is well maintained with clean, comfortable rooms. The restaurant overlooks the beach and offers a wide choice of good food - especially of note was the delightful and attentive service from Babis and his friendly staff. A wonderfully relaxing and peaceful place for a family holiday.
We ate at the restaurant a few times. It's a beautiful place to spend time, right next to the beach, eat great taverna food and relax. What really makes it stand out are the amazing staff, they really went out of their way to make sure we had the best time here with fabulous service and great tips for things to do in Crete. I would definetly recommend it.
Lovely hotel Faedra to stay. Hospitable staff, highly professional. The cleanliness of the rooms is amazing. With a great beach. Wonderful restaurant with excellent cuisine. Recommend the fish 🥰🥰 Great location. Cozy, quiet paradise 🥰🥰❤️🙏
May , 2022 _ Nice hotel in quiet place, very friendly personal. Clean room ,very fast and stable WiFi ,good breakfast and not any noisy people around. Excellent beach and restaurant with tasty food. Can walk to Nikolaos (30-40 min.) - bus (5-10 min.). We want be back! :)
Best hotel for holidays in Crete The restauant on the beach has the Cretan food in your plate. I feel lucky as I found them on my way ................................................................... .................................................................
Ideal for a relaxing break. Just across the road from the beach with Askianos restaurant serving a variety of lovely Cretan food. The staff, Babis, Vasilis and owner Manos, also Giannis on the beach, are all happy to help you with anything. It's a short bus ride into Agios town for €1.60 or a taxi for €8-10. There are certain restrictions due to covid as in not being able to leave hairdryers etc in the rooms, but if you ask at reception they will happily provide one. Beach towels are issued at a €5 deposit to ensure you can keep your own towel and just ask to change it at reception. There is a lovely small pool with some sunbeds. Power in the rooms is on a key except for the fridge, which is supplied seperately. WiFi was very fast and reliable, even on the beach. There is a minimarket next door for all your basics like coffee, tea, wine, water, toiletries and a kiosk opposite for nibbles and ice cream. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing, quiet break. Especially if you want to stay with your pet as all the staff seem to love animals. I'll be back!…
Pros: the hotel was clean, the beach was super (although somewhat full of trash, cigarette butts, etc.) and the beach and hotel personnel were friendly. Nice beach location, but far from a real town/shopping. - small pet friendly - free beach chairs and umbrellas Cons: - THE ROOM HAD A STRONG ODOR OF SMOKE! It hit you when you walk in the door! I have asthma and complained to the staff. They stated that they could get us a new room two days later, but we would have to stay in this smoky room for 2 nights and they would charge us €30/night extra. I felt like I was suffocating. - No air conditioning - good that we were there during Greek winter. Summer would be awful there. - Hotel charges €5 per beach towel - not a deposit as in most other hotels - The food was very mediocre. Would not recommend paying for breakfast and dinner. We had the breakfast buffet which served nothing very appetizing - mostly cake and dried out scrambled eggs, but there are no other breakfast options nearby, so you are pretty much stuck with it. - Food/drink service on the beach was super slow. - No elevator for the room we were in - No hair dryer as advertised on booking.com - ONLY 2 ELECTRICAL SOCKETS - one of them for the TV. NO ELECTRICAL SOCKETS IN THE BATHROOM. - Bathroom light was extremely dim. Could barely see to put my contact lenses in. - No hot water in the mornings. You have to let the water run for about 20 minutes before it gets hot. - ONLY ONE KEY!!! The key must be stuck into a wall socket in order for any of the electricity in the room to function. Therefore, if you are not stuck in the room with the key in the socket, your refrigerator and electrical sockets do not function. You cannot keep anything cold or charge any of your mobile gadgets, e.g. mobile phone, laptop, tablet, etc. while you are out of the room. - Internet Wi-Fi is intermittent - Like I said, you get what you pay for. It was clean (except for the smoke) and the beach was pleasant. I would recommend the restaurant next door for the evenings instead of the Faedera restaurant.…
Loved this little hotel...spotlessly clean, nice sized room, with views across Mirabello bay. We enjoyed breakfast on the main terrace every morning. There was a nice mixture of nationalities visiting, enjoying an autumn break, a base to explore or go trekking and some who seemed to have returned time after time, which says a lot about Faedra. Just across the road Askianos taverna overlooked a sandy cove with crystal clear waters that stretched out across the bay to stunning mountain views...a.perfect backdrop for lazy lunches of fresh Cretan delights. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Manos, Yiannis and Babis gave a great insight into Cretan life....just just made our stay. My daughter and I wanted a low key easy break and Faedra ticked all the boxes....would definitely stay again. …
