The hotel was really great. Exceptional breakfast, very polite staff, clean rooms and ideal location for swimming, but at the same time to be in the city center. Wonderful sea view! I highly recommend it as one of the top choices in Agios Nikolaos!
Away from traffic and downtown city noise are this little but fine Hotel. Great view over the sea and only 2 seconds from the beach. Who could ask for more. The Hotel could see a bit worn at first sight, but everything works perfectly. We felt the room a bit too small, however we should only sleep there, therefore no problem. The staffing are always smiling and polite but don’t come to early to breakfast, there will be lifted a eyebrow 😄 We strongly recommended this fine pearl at the Mediterranean Sea. We hope the hotel will stay this way in future.
We arrived in Chaniá and spent 2 days there. Then decided to travel by local bus and see some more if this wonderful country. This was the end of our month long trip to Europe. Aghos Nicholaos was an excellent choice to relax. And the Sgouras Hotel absolutely perfect, centrally located, restaurants & beach right outside the door. Beautiful view of the bay. Close walk to all amenities. Out of all the hotels we have passed in the area this is great. Many are lovely resorts but not close to everything and may have a swimming pool but not a beach. Would highly recommend this Hotel and would come again....if closer to NZ!!!
Stayed here in late October just before it closed for the end of the tourist season. My room had a great view of the beach and bay. The hotel's location is fantastic. It is near a beach, a short distance from the town's centre, and has some very good restaurants nearby. It is also a short walk from the Marina area with more restaurants, etc. The room itself is quite clean. It had ample room, and the outside deck had a great view of the beach. The staff here is extremely friendly, and helpful. I only had the breakfast once, but it had a good selection and was good. I visited this town at the best time of year. It is a place I don't think I would visit in July or August with the increase in tourists. In October, even though my room was on the third floor overlooking the beach and restaurants - it was still quite quiet. Overall a very good property..…
We spent 7 nights here having booked it directly with the hotel. Very efficient response.Received a friendly welcome from Litsa on reception. We had a sea facing room on the second floor, the view was lovely, and received morning sunlight. The room was very reasonable for the price, and functional. The breakfast was taken at ground level directly overlooking the beach. This was a traditional Greek breakfast, average at best, and the same every day. A little variety would have been appreciated. Our favourite thing about the hotel was its position, in its own little enclave of pleasant cafes and restaurants around the Kitroplateia beach, but only 5 minutes walk to the centre of town / the lake.
