views stunning..poolbar staff great,,rooms left a lot to be desired, red wine served chilled,,,no negotiating,by staff that can be prised away from mobile phones,,no evening entertainment whatsoever..overall very pretty but felt like a complete nuisance,,local cats more welcoming than bar staff,,food nice if ur not veggie or not too picky..cave cleaners top..x

The room was pretty basic and certainly a bit run down but, weather permitting, and it was glorious, I didn't plan to spend much time in it. I'm afraid the 'beach' didn't qualify as a beach in my opinion, took the bus into Elounda most days where there is a small but lovely beach, with toilets and changing cubicles (and... More

We asked for a restful holiday and to be looked after. We paid a price which should have guarenteed this would happen. The hotel is in a beautiful position and the description of facilities is fairly accurate. The chef produces very well prepared ,unashamedly Cretan food, but his budget obviuosly restricts him to delivering something more aligned to village taverna... More

Have just returned from my 4th stay at the Hera, and it just gets better ! The staff are wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The location is an ideal base for a relaxing vacation with amazing views over the bay. I love the atmosphere of the place, so many different nationalities all getting along and having a great time together... More

My partner and I stayed at Hera Village at the end of April just for a few days. The hotel had just opened for the season and we were their first guests this year. We were the only guests the first night but others soon followed. We had a bungalow which, as the hotel advertises, is Cretan style with concrete... More

Have just spent two nights in Hera Village Bungalows, with husband and two dogs. We wanted to explore the area ( Minoan sites etc.) The welcome was warm and our blue and white bungalow was delightful with a lemon tree in the tiny courtyard. The views of Mirabello Bay were wonderful, especially the lights of Ag. Nik at night. We... More

we stayin at Hera for one week. It was the best week we could have hoped for!! The first thing I have to mention is the hospitality. It is family run, and while staying there, you are treated like family. We made so many frineds there! We were always greeted when entering the resturante, and the waiters made light conversation,... We stayed at the hotel in the first week of October, looking for an easy relaxing autumn break. We had four lovely days of weather and a beautiful view over Mirabello Bay, but that is where the praise must stop. Hera Village was advertised as a four star all inclusive hotel, but on arrival it quickly became clear this was... More
