We booked one night before we started our trip through Western Crete because of a good review in Lonely Planet. The pension is situated in one of the oldest houses in Chania and has some charm but it is way overpriced for the comfort it offers. The mattresses were absolutely awful so we hardly slept. Although it was only April,...

Thank you very much for your valid comments. Please send us an email with the room number you stayed so we can check and change the mattress. The coffee machine was not broken but one day someone did not put the filter in and the machine was clogged with coffee. We provide for free few things such as: jam, honey,...

This is an old world building with pretty rooms overlooking the Old harbour of Chania. My room was a small double with a little single bed on a mezzanine floor - it looked to be one of the more basic rooms - but still very nice. However night time was very noisy as the harbour area is buzzing with bars...

This pensione is in an old Venetian building with an amazing view of the harbour from the top floor deck. This place has it all: great location just off the harbour, beautiful building with very interesting owners (ask Maria to tell you how the family acquired the building) and great value. There is a communa kitchen available to use. Some...

Booked this accommodation after a friend recommended it. Communication was via emails and deposit paid online. Upon arrival there is a note on the front door indicating which room you have been allocated. I am currently staying Room 6 which has a wonderful view of the old harbour. A small room which is great for one person or even a...

We stayed here 4 days and we found the owners very nice and helpful. There was a gorgeous terrace where you could have your breakfast and enjoy the best view of the old harbour. Rooms were clean and there is even a tiny kitchen connected to that terrace where you can make your food. We would go back there again.

Pension Theresa is a lovely old house in a picturesque setting close to Chania harbour. We stayed for 5 nights in Room 1, which has the best view but extraordinarily uncomfortable bed. The bed is a small double bed built in to a wall with a hard, lumpy mattress and pillows. If 2 people sleep in it, one will knock...

Hotel is auto-run based on trust and shared responsibility. For exemple, you have an almost complete kitchen for you to make breakfast or any other meal at any other time of the day. You are given oranges to squeeze and fresh bread to slide as you want but of course keep in mind others. the rooms have a lot of...

Another great visit to pension Theresa. The location, quaint decor and friendly welcome are what bring us back here each year. Located right one the np harbour front with a great balcony overlooking the harbour for breakfast.

This is a very old-fashioned pension, one where you feel like you're in your grandmother's home. Lots of period photographs and works of art and furniture. Maria at the front desk is amazingly friendly and very helpful. The only catch is the great location which means that there's plenty of passerby and music throughout the night. If you are a...

I stayed here about a month ago having also been to the hotel next door so quite familiar with the Chania Old Town area. Pension Theresa has a time worn, historic feel to it (originally Venetian then taken over by the Turks) and wonderful terrace on the top floor; it has most of the ingredients I look for for i.e...
