Pension Theresa is a lovely small place with an extremely welcoming staff. The top floor patio looks over the harbor.

I was a bit nervous after contacting Pension Theresa and being told "there was probably a room" and that if there wasn't, Maria would help us find one somewhere else. However, upon arriving, all fears/nervousness were put to ease. The Pension is in a beautiful location, on the old harbor down a very beautiful street. We had arrived super early...

Pension Theresa is has a beautiful top floor terrace with a self-service kitchen overlooking the harbour. For value, it's hard to beat a room rate of 40€ (October). The room itself was very large, had a kitchen and fridge and could have slept 5 with the loft. Unfortunately, we were just a little late and the people before us got...

We found out abt Pension Theresa through Lonely Planet. It was one of their 'picks' of hotels in Hania. The room (room #1) that we stayed in was big, airy, comfy and quaint. It has a character of its own, and we couldnt help but fall in love with it the min. we stepped into the room. It is the...

We spent a week in Chania - 2 couples. We had bad luck having the only room at the top floor where the heat was unbearable. The aircon was noisy and not effective enough to cool down the room which had probably no isolation at all. Unfortunately next to our door there was an awful smell coming out of the...

Loved our stay here, reminded us of travelling in Greece before hte package tourists. Sadly it was only for a couple of nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. The extremely steep flights of stairs are not for the faint hearted, or those that travel with tons of luggage but the views from the roof terrace and kitchen...

I was only at Pension Theressa for one too-short night. I struggled with my big bag up the stairs but was so glad I had when I opened the door on room 6 and it was a perfect little room that wanted to stay in for weeks (It's my fault I packed too much anyway). The room had a window...

Lonely Planet got it right. It was their pick in the book and it was a good suggestion. We called a couple days before to make a reservation and they recommended we just confirm the morning of the arrival to ensure we are coming. The reservation desk said he could take our credit card number to confirm but he suggested...

The location of the pension near the Naval Museum and the view from the terrace overlooking the old port of Chania must be the best in town. In the two weeks I stayed the staff were always friendly and willing to help me discover the old city and suggested ideas for travel in the west of Crete. The two rooms...
