Open in winter. The owner German Lena is an architect who has lived in Chania forever. She has converted a Turkish house into a charming pension. My room on the first floor was en suite and cozy with a kettle and a fridge. The essentials in life. Wifi. Breakfast E5 is on the top floor open space or could be...

I stayed at Pension Lena 20 years ago. I liked it then so decided to go back again. It is still a funky place with a great location near the old town. There is a great little restaurant around the corner that has live music on Friday evenings.

We enjoyed our stay at Pension Lena, awesome location in relation to the old Harbour. Our room was well appointed and clean . It had a nice old world charm, and I would not hesitate to stay there again, the price was very good. Chania, was our fave spot on Crete, it's worth a more then a few days stay....

We are just coming back from Chania where we had a reservation for ‚Pension Lena’ for 2 nights. We had done the reservation some weeks earlier. When we arrived in the evening, the door was closed, obviously Lena had forgotten. When contacted, she notified us via text message without explanation or saying sorry that we are hosted now in a...

We stayed at the Minoos house for 10 days and I can easily say that it was one of the best holiday decisions we ever made. The house is located very close to the old town, it is actually in the old town just not in the center of it, which is better since your are away from the crowds....

We were there some time ago (2010 or 2011), so things may have changed, but we had a wonderful vacation (one week) here. Placed perfectly very near to both harbour and central city. We had a very charming room, but we saw another room, which we wouldn't have stayed in. As I understood, that room was only used to backpackers...

This was a horrible experience. Lena (the owner) must have bought a house belonging to an elderly person and turned it into a pension, without clearing anything, cleaning anything or moving any of the last homeowners knickknacks. We are seasoned travelers and can put up with a lot. However, the carpets were very dirty, the beds sagged terribly, and the...

We arrived in Old Chania with three days accomodation booked (but needed a further 2 nights to find somewhere else). After the third night we wheeled our cases around looking for somewhere new and stumbled across a cleaner outside one of Lena's properties (Lena has a few in the Old Town it turns out). The cleaner rang Lena, who took...

I spent 2 months(June-July 2013) in one of Lena's studios and could not have found better accommodations for the price. The room was nicely appointed in a European style, and had everything an American could want or need: WIFI, a big comfy bed with lots of pillows, coffee maker, iron, A/C, a little kitchenette, pots, pans, use of a washer,etc.,...

I feel bad to use such a harsh word in the title but it really captures our experience and the room we got. Not sure what happened as the room we had was definitely not one of the nice images I saw in the pictures here. I believe the owner bought an additional building on the street to expand her...
