I spent a night at the Arkadi after arriving on an evening flight, and planning on moving on in the morning. The hotel was actually better than I had expected - the room was basic but clean and perfectly functional, the air-con was effective, and breakfast was OK. Not many facilities, but good value for money and centrally located -...

Rather an old-fashioned Greek hotel, but none the worse for that. Our room was quite large and comfortable. Reception was helpful and breakfast was what you would expect for a hotel of this type. So no complaints and in a very convenient location for Chania. We just stayed for one night, I don't think I would want to spend more...

A small, well kept hotel central but just out of Chania old town and port so that everything can be visited on foot. The room (family room, 3 single beds) was very clean, with air-con, tv, bathrobes and lovely shower. Breakfast offered good choice and was well presended. Staff extreme friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very conveniently situated, close to the bus station, the old town, Venetian harbour and lots of good tavernas. The staff were lovely, very helpful. We were always greeted with a smile. Breakfast was relaxed with good choices on offer. Water escaped from the shower a little but not a major problem. Would definitely stay there again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and breakfast was good with a surprising variety. Trips were easy to organise as hotel was a 2 minute distance from bus station (KTEL). Historic sites and restaurants and taverns were located in walking distance from hotel making it unnecessary to hire a car or take taxis. Would recommend this hotel and would not...

The hotel is close to major attractions and hundreds of shops and restaurants. Staff is helpfull and very friendly. Even if our room was on the first floor and facing streets with much traffic, noise was not a problem. Breakfast service was sufficient and good, without luxuries or specialities

The location was great, close to the beautiful Chania harbour with lots of cafes, restaurant and shops. We had to catch an early flight, the bus stop was conveniently located around the corner from the hotel. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us with a early breakfast. The breakfast buffet was loaded with lovely...

In the central prime position for 30 years, this hotel is at the nerve centre of Chania right in the 1866 Square. In 6 minutes down Halidon Street you arrive at the cathedral before hitting the famous beautiful Venetian harbour and the shimmering waterfront with tourist trinkets and a row of restaurants plus one excellent bookshop. Facing the square ahead,...
