We stayed here for the first week of June 2016. The hotel was in a great location, just behind the beautiful Venetian harbour and a great place to use as a base to explore the West coast of Crete. There was a nice local beach within walking distance (about 10-15mins) and plenty of stunning beaches within driving distance that are...

Friendly staff, attractive and colourful area, and as before: clean, comfortable convenient and value for money. This was my fourth stay in three years. Perhaps my favorite lodging in Old Town, Chania.

This small hotel is situated just off the harbour front in a charming street of shops, tavernas and guest houses. We received a very pleasant welcome and our room was clean and well- equipped with a small balcony. There is also a rooftop terrace where we had drinks before dinner at one of the many tavernas. Breakfast was excellent with fresh...

El Greco is just far enough away from the 'razzmatazz' during the summer, and close enough to go for breakfast in the mornings! Lovely people running the hotel (Anthoula and her husband Ilias). Bit of a problem with a leaky sink in our room, but nothing stupendous. Good sitting area outside for that pre-supper drinks party. First went there 23...

We stayed for a week and wanted a clean no frills hotel at a reasonable price. This fitted the bill perfectly and we were not disappointed. Clean and well placed in a street just behind the old town harbour, ten minutes walk from the main town and two minutes from the glorious old town harbour with a huge choice of...

The owners of El Greco were very warm and welcoming. Our room was warm and cosy. 2 minutes to the harbour with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. A very good archaeological museum nearby and a folklore museum which is a must see. The silk embroidery is the work of an amazing lady. Ten to fifteen minutes by foot and...

Chania around the bay has many side streets that are worth walking through. The east side of the bay along with the northeast side is the prettiest and El Greco is in the middle of the east side (close to the old castle). If you like taking pictures, the east side is a great place from which to get up...

El Greco is a really sweet little hotel in the middle of Chania. I booked a single room and was expecting a small room at the back but was given a nice twin room on the front with a small balcony and views to the lovely street outside and the sea. Breakfast is continental but perfectly adequate. Staff were helpful...
