We stayed here as an overnight stop. Beautiful place, old buildings converted into rooms, suites etc. in the middle of very quiet village but actually only 5 miles from the beach. Pool delightful set in gorgeous gardens with a bar. Dinner was included and served a la carte outside. Dinner was lovely, well cooked. Room was very comfortable with a...

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago with HF, the walking holidays people. I've been to Crete several times before, both in hotels and self-catering, and this hotel gave a taste of what I like best about both types of holiday. This is not a hotel to choose if you want beaches on your doorstep and tourist attractions on...

We spent a week exploring the west of the island with a one day trip to Kronnos etc. (about 2 hrs away). Although the season was just starting the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had rented one of the villas (5-10 walk from the hotel - the walk was super). The villa was clean and perfect for a...

Very good location in a quiet village about 5km from the coast. Excellent for a walking holiday especially if you have your own transport and a decent guide book. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was very good during the week we were there. NB WiFi worked well but only in the hotel lobby.

We stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. Beautiful spacious room and bathroom. Lovely swimming pool with bar that serves fresh cocktails. They are located in a small village between the olive trees, great for hikers. For those who want more action their are many nearby towns with restaurants, bike hire etc.

We had a great holiday in crete but some issues with the hotel mean we would be reluctant to use it again Be warned hot water is in short supply made worse by walking groups all returning at the same time and showering at the same time! The waking groups are pleasant people but they take over a small hotel...

We stayed here last week as part of a walking group with HF Holidays. Lovely location, good food, very friendly and helpful staff. Quirky lay out added to its charm. An ideal place to relax whether you are walking or not. Whilst the facilities in the village are limited check out the village taverna at the top of the hill...

We stayed at Villa Nicholas, set on a hillside in beautiful countryside, 200m walk to the hotel. We wandered down to the hotel each morning to wonderful breakfast of local eggs, bread, honey, meats, cheese, fresh orange juice. The peaceful pool area has lime trees providing welcome natural shade In the evening from the villa balcony you can relax and...

The hotel has an attractive design with two sections joined by a bridge over a small road in this atmospheric village. There is a good pool and an unusual indoor communal section designed around traditional stone arches. There is a spacious outdoor area for eating in good weather and colourfully planted grounds. Breakfast and dinner were regularly excellent with good...
