I stayed for one night in January 2011, I had a fllight which arrived late in the evening and I wanted somewhere close to the airport. It's less than 10 minutes away, in a small village outside the capital. The reception is open 24/7, although practically there's a notice on the front door saying 'Phone ... if the door is...

Dear Sir/Madam It’s your right not to like a place or not to recommend us to your family and friends but really I did not understand what was you complain. Prince of Lillies is a family own and run hotel. I and my family run this business since 2008 and we almost know all guests by the first name, and...

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is clean, quiet, has an exccellent restaurant, and is unbelievable value for money . The day shift desk staff are informed and supportive, and though it is not centrally located, it is in close proximity to both the docks and the airport, making it a perfect transit hotel. The only complaint we...

Prince of Lillies is a reasonably priced, clean hotel with a friendly helpful staff. Breakfast is included and wifi internet. Nice pool area. The restaurant makes good pizza i n a wood burning oven. The only drawback is taking the bus into town, we were there off season so the bus did not run frequently and we spent too much...

We stayed one night at POL. We had been in the Chania area for 3 days and moved to Heraklion b/c we had an early ferry to Santorini. I picked POL b/c it offers free parking and we wanted to keep our car until we got on the ferry to Santorini. We had to have the worst room in the...

Stayed one night after late arrival into Heraklion airport, as a "rest stop" before continuing travel next morning. Easy to find, short drive east of airport (therefore not necessary to drive into Heraklion city confines). Basic room, but clean enough & air-conditioner worked well. Cozy restaurant integrated into hotel with very friendly waitstaff and excellent pizza--just what we needed after...

We arrived at the hotel and had dinner. At dinner, the hotel waitress told us, when we asked for glasses of water, that the tap water was not fit for drinking so we should get bottled water if we wanted to drink any. Nowhere else was this fact posted. Good thing we hadn't tried any from the tap yet! Otherwise,...

My husband and i and our 2 friends stayed here for two weeks. They were the most relaxing 2 weeks holiday ever. For the Hotel being constantly busy, we hardly seen anyone. It may be close to the airport but it's a noise you get used to. Beach is a 10 minute walk away.Though you dont really need it as the pool...

This is not a fancy place. It's an inexpensive, bare-bones hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The staff is very friendly but don't expect five-star service. The taverna out front was excellent and the breakfast buffet was very good considering it was included in a very low room rate. It's near the sea but I don't know how close...

We have just returned from a very enjoyable week at the Prince of the Lillies - it is not without flaws, but these fade into insignificance against the background of general excellence. The hotel is attractive, with its roofed and flowered entrance walkway flanked on one side by an open-air bar and on the other by the taverna-style restaurant. The...
