Our rooms are decorated in earthy tones, satellite TV and mini fridge. They also include a bathroom with hairdryer and complimentary bathrobes. Some rooms have views of the bay and the port. In addition, all rooms offer wired internet and free Wi-Fi. Our guests can enjoy an American breakfast buffet, while gazing at the Libyan Sea. The a la carte Porfyra restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes and traditional Cretan cuisine. The hotel bar also offers hot and cold beverages, and room service is available from 08:00 to midnight. Guests can also use the shared computer lounge. In addition, they offered the quick check in. Along the coast, there is a narrow street that includes shops with traditional local products. We pretty much liked about everything here! Breakfast was absolutely delicious: great choice, fresh produce, nicely presented and well-organised. The staff at breakfast were particularly friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is just about perfect, although this can make it a bit tricky to find a parking space (but that's to be expected in such a central location). The room was spacious enough and the bathroom big and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean and the cleaning staff was very friendly, too. The only thing which stopped me from giving the maximum points is the fact that one gentleman at reception would neither wear a mask nor keep some distance whenever talking to us, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. But as he was the exception, luckily, we still enjoyed our two nights' stay very very much. :-)…

A Gem in the most southern town of europe. Fresh, like new beddings, modern design, comfy madrasses and great helpful staff. Located at the seashore with restaurants and shops around the corner. Covid makes this town a plesant stop with gorgona , the best with greek foods a short walk away

Exceptional room with sea view as in the movies. The staff are charming and attentive. The cleanliness and management of the covid-19 was perfect. The location is perfect too, in the middle of the dike and next to the place of reservation for Chryssi island. We will be back for sure.

The 6-day stay at the Hotel El Greco in Ierapetra was very pleasant and totally convincing. The room had a fantastic view of the sea. The staff was very professional and very friendly. Breakfast was exceptionally good. I also ate very well in the restaurant. The hotel is excellent value for money. I can only recommend the Hotel El Greco. Peter Christensen

This is a modern hotel overlooking the sea, contemporary design with well appointed rooms, friendly, cheerful staff, a problem free stay. The hotel has a restaurant that serves very good food and was open on the Christmas and new year holidays. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety of choice, both healthy ans otherwise. There is also a car park for guests just a few steps around the corner. No negatives to report at all.

Very nice hotel located at the seaside promenade in the centre of Ierapetra. The rooms are comfortable and contemporary furnished. A breakfast with a loss of dishes is served in their restaurant which also serves good food and have an outside area facing the sea. Helpful and friendly staff.

Returned to this hotel for another visit, four years on from our last, and if anything it is even better than before. Wonderful owner with excellent staff make you so welcome. Rooms with sea view are fabulous with spacious balcony to watch the sun rise or set across the sea. The buffet breakfast selection is vast and superb, and there is nothing better than a drink on the sea edge before strolling along the seafront. Perfect place for a complete relax. We love this place!

We just had to stay there again after being so well looked after in the past. Athina on the front desk is a diamond, any thing you ask for is no trouble at all. As usual our stay was very pleasurable and hope to be returning the same time next year.

I booked my reservation several months in advance with Booking and El Greco as I was going to Takis Shelter in Irepetra. The day before my stay, I pulled up my reservation ( I had been in Crete for 3 weeks but not on booking or the internet) and my reservation was cancelled! I travel all over the world for business and leisure and this had never occurred. I frantically called and emailed the hotel and first they said booking.com canceled then they said I canceled. I reiterated that I did not cancel and still needed a hotel room. They said they were booked and I couldn’t rebook! As a solo traveler, I was alarmed but found another hotel. After my arrival, I walked by El Greco and it was empty. I walked in and asked if there were any vacant rooms. The front desk manager said there were plenty of rooms!!! I then identified myself and he made up several excuses that perhaps my credit card was wrong. Fast forward and now not once but twice El Greco has charged my credit card even though I never stayed there. Please do not give business to dishonest business people!…
