Fantastic all inclusive with very professional staff and hotel! Food was very good Only minor things I can say was occational nightly celebration noise coming in to our room and not always having enough warm water. Other than that I can’t complain
I’m not sure really where to begin. I have always given honest reviews so this is going to be difficult. We booked this holiday with my brother and his wife. Both myself and his wife had just turned 60 and this was our treat. I will write the review on things that I hold important. Beach: the beach sounds idyllic but it was far from. The sea was lovely and warm. There were plenty of sunbeds, but a lot broke. They were so uncomfortable as they need replacing. Kids had also dug massive holes, which is just kids having fun but they weren’t filled in over night. Could be quite dangerous. There is a burger van at the beach. He does just burgers and hotdogs. The beach bar: not really on the beach. Reminded me of a toilet block. Food laid out, all uncovered. Stale sandwiches that had been touched from quite a few people. Toilets next to the kitchens. Everything seemed dirty. Rooms. They were ok. You had your basic things . Our kettle kept tripping the electrics so we had that changed. Tea and coffee not replenished. Floors not cleaned. Felt dirty. Beds made everyday. Food. This is where I struggle. The same food was served everyday. This seemed more like a staff canteen other than a restaurant. Staff seemed uninterested. They served the same soup everyday! We asked a waiter for some drinks and was told “get them yourselves “ I have never had to queue for food before and I have been in a lot of all inclusive restaurants, but never like this! We told one member of staff our food was cold, they shrugged their shoulders and said “ it’s not a la carte” and walked off! We had quite a few issues, too many to list. But never expected to be eating burgers and mash in a 5 star restaurant . The breakfast was ok. But sitting outside everything was wet through. We booked into the flavour restaurant one night. We were told off for being 5 minutes early, and when we did get seated we were in the coffee shop on dirty stained seats, not in the restaurant. Water. You have to collect your water everyday. It would be better if they if some in your room. So don’t forget to collect tea, coffee, sugar and water. Only one towel station. Evening: we never saw any entertainment as they did this on the terrace. There was a massive glass blue dome in the middle, they were on one side, we were on the other. Useless. They had silent disco 3 times while we were there. It wasn’t silent for the ones that didn’t have headphones! Again, not 4 star entertainment. People were having to sit on dirty sunbeds for evening drinks. Outside the hotel is a little supermarket and a coffee shop, which we attended quite a lot. Also a hire shop for bikes, quads etc. we hired quads for the day and that was brilliant. There is a water park and Tam Tam bar which was fabulous, but that’s it. You can catch a bus to Kos, but don’t rely on the times. I really don’t like doing bad reviews, but I would never go back to this hotel. I have constantly tried to contact TUI since but that is impossible. I guess this hotel would be ok, if you want to spend all day by the pool, which I must add they are brilliant, eating fast food and drinking cheap booze out of plastic cups. But not worth half the money we paid. My brother had never been to an all inclusive hotel, and I’m afraid he will never go to another. We ate out most days so take extra money.…
Arrived at 0130 in the morning. Meet at reception by i can assume the night porter who checked us in. Nice touch we were handed a bag with some water and food in due to lateness off the hour. He explained everything about the resort and where everything was on the site. Given room 1147 in the main building so not to far to go from reception. Lifts available but only one floor so no need to use them except with suitcases. Room was as expected, clean and tidy, balcony and plenty off space to store luggage. Tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge in the room(filled with Water and Pop) are always a winner. Bed was comfortable and both my wife and i slept well all week. My only small complaint is that the safe was operated by a key so had to lug around with us or hide it some where. would be better if electronic locking. Lets talk about the site Resort is a little away from any amenities, nearest town is about 2-3 kms away and will need to get a taxi(cost 10 euros), there is a bus about 6 times a day to Kos town but can be very busy but at 3.2 euros is bargain. Pools and grounds : The pool scene here is unbelievable, There's a Lane pool, a huge main pool where the activities take place, 3 smaller pool for relaxation, a Large pool near the beach and then another large pool with hydro jets. the choice is amazing something for everyone. We stayed mainly around the main pool but was our choice. plenty off sunbeds at them all. Food and Drinks: There are 3 restaurants, the Main restaurant is called Magi-co , its a buffet place but there is always plenty off choice for all tastes. As with most places Breakfast is a little repetitive but its breakfast and what else do you eat. Lunch and Dinner where tasty, fresh and always plenty of it. There are 2 specialty restaurants, Flavours and A Greek Taverna. We eat at both. Flavours is where they have the tastes off the 6 countries which have TUI Magic life centres. You get 6 small starters and then you pick a Main and dessert. Food was OK but the setting was not very appealing(during the day its a Coffee house). We eat at the Greek Taverna on what was our 23rd anniversary. I had been in contact with the guest services manager Maria before arriving and was going to eat on the beach but the weather meant that was not possible. Maria arrange for the table to be decorated with balloons and a rose to make it feel special which was a wonderful gesture. Food at the taverna was very good and it felt authentic. During the day there is a gyro station by the main pool which served gyros, pizza and burgers and a food truck by the beach serving burgers, hot dogs and tacos. Both off these are great, the gyros are really tasty. Bars and entertainment: There are 3 bars, a Wunderbar (open 24hrs) a Pool bar and a Beach bar. There is also a vitamin bar by one off the pools for fresh juices and smoothes. The staff at all the bars are friendly and serve everyone very quickly. The lady on the pool bar during the day was terrific after serving you just a couple off times knew what your order was and you nearly did not have to ask. There was also a Coffee house which served nice teas and coffee plus cakes/pastries throughout the day. The entertainment team work very hard throughout the day and night to keep everyone happy. The resort is geared towards the more active people due to the tennis courts, volleyball courts and other fitness activities but there is no pressure and you only need to do what you want to. My only complaint was that at night all the entertainment was done around the Wunderbar and the terrace near the pool bar, this meant it got very busy and finding a seat was sometimes not possible. Also if you did not want to watch the entertainment there was no other bar open to escape it. Overall we both enjoyed our week at this resort, Have to mention a big thank you to then for making our anniversary special, after the meal at the taverna we went back to our room and they had made it up with balloons, towel swans and rose petals over the bed. it make my wife feel so special and she will remember for the rest off her life. Nice clean resort a little away from anything but always something going on so don't feel you need to leave. …
We have just come home from a fantastic weeks holiday to Atlantica Mamari Palace, Tui Magic life. We found the hotel super clean and tidy. The staff were excellent, and so helpful. The entertainment staff Jan Luca, Coco, Noah, Jan and the rest of the team were fantastic and super friendly and inclusive with all the activities they had on offer for both kids and adults. The food was amazing in both the buffet and the taverna on the beach, the choice, freshness etc was second to non. All the staff at the pool bar, snack stations worked tirelessly and were always happy to help. The whole complex was kept exceptionally clean and tidy and I would say the whole resort is a credit to the staff and management who run and operate it so well. Thank you all for a great week, we will hopefully be back soon. Lee…
Have just returned from a weeks holiday here and have to say we couldn’t fault it. The rooms were clean and spacious, choice of food excellent - buffet with great choices (and amazing desserts!!), pool bar for drinks, and the Gyros station for kebab and chips for an afternoon snack. By far the best part was the entertainment, huge thanks to Gian Luca, Noa and Jona for the shuffleboard and waterpolo games, and everyone else on the team for the midday pool games and evening entertainment- everyone was so amazing and friendly. Would totally recommend a holiday here.
We had an enjoyable stay here but it’s not a 5 star hotel. We got off on a bad start - first night, the noise from the entertainment was very loud (our room was close to the main bar areas which has its pros and cons!). There was also a problem with ants in the room. I went to reception the next day and asked for a room change - this is where it is evident that the hotel doesn’t provide 5 star service. I was told my request would be passed on to the manager and that we would hear back via letter for a change the next day (Thursday). We didn’t hear back until Thursday stating our request had been “approved” and that the move could be completed on the Friday. By that point, we couldn’t be bothered and decided to adjust our expectations in the evening. I also managed to stop the access of the ants into the room myself. Just a very poor response. One evening we got a letter through the door informing of us possible noise - on probably the quietest night?! That featured the silent disco (great fun, and a highlight). The drinks table service in the restaurant we also found to be very hit and miss, although the food is generally good. The gyros station was our favourite place for a quick lunch. Alessandro in the Wunderbar was excellent and took care of us in the evenings. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but improvements are needed to make it 5 star as advertised.…
Another stay at Marmari Palace for 2 weeks late September / early October. Really helpful staff and spotlessly clean hotel room. Some excellent mountain biking and other activities. We looked at other hotels but always revert to Marmari Palace in Kos. A great holiday. Thank you.
All kind and friendly people working in the hotel. The restaurants are top. Very nice and clean rooms. If you want a nice holiday at Kos? This is the place to be! Many pools and the beach is near the hotel.
It was great to be back again 5 years after working here and 1 year since first holiday back to this place. We arrived just before 9:30pm so was told to go straight to dinner before checking in. Main restaurant buffet had different food options every lunch and evening and could always find something you would like. Breakfast was also good with all the options available. A massive shoutout to Michael in the main restaurant and was lovely to see you once again. We also enjoyed visiting the flavour restaurant and Taverna during our stay where food was also very tasty. Checkin was very quick and was in our room with cases following shortly after. We spent most of the days around the pool while here apart from about 4 days where we ever had trips booked or was at the beach. We enjoyed the main pool with the option to swim to the bar when needing to get a drink. Thomas at the pool bar done an amazing job remembering what everyone’s drinks were on a daily basis and still smiling and having a laugh with guests at 1am after nearly a 12 hour shift. Entertainment during the day and evening was very good with the Entertainers having great leaders in Wolfi and Alex. A big mention must go to Alex for making the pool games and bingo very funny and with loads of energy on a daily basis. We also enjoyed the funny rules added in to his bingo. We also enjoyed taking part in Darts with Greise and Aqua Gym with the dancers. The shows and magic moments in the evening were performed to a very high standard with the dancers having a good leader in Kim as Dance Captain. A big mention must go to Alex, Greise, Coco, Luca, Iolanda and Kim for making our 2 weeks so enjoyable and we enjoyed spending our time and getting to know you all better. Room was very clean when we arrived and was kept clean throughout the 2 weeks with the cleaner making our clothes and bed and towels looks pretty on a daily basis with her art work we would come back to. One thing that I would say is some of the sunbeds around the main pool do have screws missing or they need tightening and when making the bloke cleaning the pool one morning aware he didn’t really seem to bothered so we did have to move these beds away a couple of times during our stay so we didn’t have no broken sunbeds we was laying on. A big mention must go to Greise (Dancer) who did have to finish the season early due to an injury a speedy recovery and we hope to see you back dancing in the future.…
My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week in the beautiful Marmari Palace. We could not fault the holiday - from the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly staff which continued the whole holiday. Our room was lovely, the food was wonderful - such an array of different choices. The variety of activities was amazing, I especially enjoyed the aqua fitness and the entertainment was just fantastic. A special shout out to Alex, we thought you were brilliant! We ventured out to the waterpark which was just across the road. We got a bus into Kos Town which was beautiful - the bus stop is opposite the hotel. All in all, it was an absolutely fabulous holiday, we loved it!
