So, the Kentrikon is not fancy. If you are looking for fancy, this might not be for you. But, it is clean and comfortable with good wifi and centrally located a half block from the waterfront and the old bridge. I suggest asking for a room in the back, as the street out front is quite busy with noisy traffic....

I have this curse of noisy hotels. This night-long visit in hotel Kentrikon wasn't an exception. Our room was in the first floor, almost on the street-level. The street was busy and noisy, also in the night time though it was Thursday. I have also good things to say, of course. Location was super, near train station (train to Athens...

The Hotel Kentrikon in Halkida or Chalkida or Xalkida or Khalkis (take your pick) proudly advertises (in their rooms at least) it was built in 1928. I chose this as it offered free wifi, breakfast and parking and it was roughly midway between Tripoli and Thessaloniki. I wish I had known better. Lets start with the parking. Yes they have...

We stay a couple off nights in Evia and it was a practical hotel to stay on. They have a free parking and the hotel is just next to the cornish of restaurant. The parking itself was very small but functional. The people were very friendly and try their best. The rooms were small and a bit noisy but were...

Nice, clean room, excellent stuff, the guy on reception was very helpful, all stuff very friendly. Parking was also helpful, but a bit small. We enjoyed our vacations in chalkida, lovely sea promenade and beaches, taverns and restaurants, all people very friendly...

Very good accomodation! Very clean rooms, friendly staff, in the center of the town (just above the old bridge) and having a parking was too helpful. Worth visiting if you look for something dignified with low price.

Hotel was nice and clean, there was heating and hot water, refrigerator and small TV, but the bed was very uncomfortable. the hotel was pretty tiny and the room faced a roof with generators and electricity so it wasn't pretty, but not too loud. you can see also the sea from the room. Very small parking and a bit hard...

Yesterday we took the train from Athens (Larissi stion) to Chalkida (capital of Evia - second largest island in Greece, after Crete) cost Euro 13 (AUD 20) for 2 persons and it took 1hr 20 min on a chug-chug train. Disembarked at the old bridge, as opposed to the new suspension bridge, and walked along the promenade to the Hotel...
