Good points for: 1. Room size , big enough for two people 2. Big balcony with coffee table and 2 chairs 3. Comfortable clothes dryer, which not all of the hotels have 4. Nice design of bathroom 5. Nice shower set with olive oil 6. Beach is very close to the hotel, just few steps and you’re near the sea. 7. Sloping shore 8. Very clean sea water , even on big deepness you can see sand and fish 9. For breakfast they offer lactose free and gluten free milk , egg protein etc. 10. Safe deposit box next to each umbrella on the beach. Never seen this before. For this. You have +1 from me Bad points: 1. Cleanliness of the room. Our room was cleaned with the delay on daily basis. For five star hotel it’s inappropriate that guests will be approached by cleaning women who makes an agreement with them that she will go to smoke now and then after 30 min she will clean your room, and this is at 17:00!. This never happened to us in any hotel before .. First night during our stay we noticed that pillow protector has red bloody stain , clearly visible even through pillowcase, and this was left for us by cleaning personnel knowing in advance that this room should be cleaned for new guests… INAPPROPRIATE AND DISGUSTING! Dust on the bedside lamp wasn’t cleaned long before prior our check in until our check out, and for sure will stay like this till next season .. inside same lamp we found spider 🕷 house. Shower kit wasn’t refilled . On day 3 of our stay we just had “leftovers” left from day before (and this is luxury 5 star hotel). 2. Variety and quality of food during breakfast and dinner is so-so. I mean, you will not end up staying hungry but this is definitely not a food range that you expect from luxury 5 star hotel.. there is no taste , normal food - nothing special. Still when you’re in a luxury 5 star hotel you do expect more. 3. Troubles with the drinks. Everyone complains that they’re paid and so on. Let’s leave it on the side. How comes that you simply cannot order drinks because waitress refuse to take your order and once ordered, you need to wait at least half an hour to have your drinks served? If you made it paid - take care about appropriate and fast service. I’m okay to be overcharged by luxury 5 star hotel but I want to see the service, and here is huge lack of it. 4. Private beach that is not private? I saw here in the comments that beach actually is not a private property and everyone from outside can come and take a place there, but in front of me man that is responsible for umbrellas made a notice for a family with the little baby (obviously from outside) and made them left the beach.. if there is Greek law that everyone can visit the beach - then you shouldn’t make such notices to the people on the beach and you should threat everyone equally. 5. Strange situation with floating goods for swimming - hotel do not sale or offer rent for those. We went then to the city to buy our own floating donut. We came back with it to the hotel and we wasn’t allowed to take it to our room (as was advised by the guys on reception this is due to pandemic situation) . No problem, they have shelves for floating goods outside hotel. You need to write your room number with the marker on the donut and left your donut there next to others. Next day my donut disappeared- someone from guests just took it. If you do not allow me to take it to the room - then make sure that you will check that I left this donut and I will take it back. It’s inappropriate that someone just took it, and no one knows how and when. 6. Cleanliness of the sand could be much better, especially when we are speaking about luxury 5 star hotel. 7. Paid parking. I have nothing against it but still why should guests pay for it? Whyyyyyy. 8. Shadow on the beach. After 16:00 beach is in full shadow because of the hotel location . So-so experience :/ 9. The way how hotel representatives reply to negative comments here left very sad impression. It’s not the way how staff of 5 stars hotel should communicate with guests, even if they’re dissatisfied.

We had an amazing week in Ammon Zeus - delicious food, tidy and perfectly clean room, gorgeous beach. The best part of the hotel are the people who work there, always friendly, smiling and showing how great customer service looks like. Special thanks to Guilia (pool bar), Evtychia (restaurant), Anton and David for taking such a good care of us and making our stay not only extremely pleasant but a thoroughly delightful experience!

Mr ggU9198BO the beverages have a pricelist, halfboard does not mean beverages included, except in all inclusive hotels. the parking charge is mentioned at all sales channels, so the guests are aware before they make their booking. moreover, they can park outside of the private parking with no fee.

I ll start from the beginning, we arrived very early, around 8AM local time, I went to the reception just to confirm reservation and the guy at reception was very unfriendly, on every question he replied with: "How can I help?" , and then he minded his own business. It looked like he was playing some game, so I interrupted him. Then I left. Later, around 2PM, I came again, and then there were two guys behind the desk, one of them, to who I talked to, was a bit polite and took our passports, completed papers and everything, even handled our luggage. Then they asked if I want to park car in the hotel yard, which costs, get this, 20€ per day, or to park outside, in their "secured", dirty parking lot, which costs 15€ per day, classic rip off. I said, no, I ll park next to this dirty parking, basically in the same dirt. Only fence is separating free parking and hotels one. Check-in went fine, except they asked me to pay whole sum upfront, to be honest, I ve been in various hotels around the globe and never paid accommodation upfront, unless I paid the full amount via booking.com or some other provider. Room was fine, not the 5* though, as a matter of fact, hotel is not even close to 5 star, its more like 3 and a half. Anyway, room was cleaned everyday and towels were changed too, on a daily basis. For beach towels you have to pay 10€ deposit, per towel, and then if you return the towels back, you ll get your money back. Which is fine. If you room is garden oriented, then prepare for a few sleepless nights, unless you close the balcony, otherwise, music from around bars and even hotel one can lasts up until 4AM local time. Food was great, I cant argue that. The only objection I have is no free drinks for the dinner,at least water and/or coffee, no, you must pay for it all. Dont get me wrong, this is a, so called, 5 star luxury beach hotel, for which we paid 1600+ euros for 7 nights, and at least we expect free water for the dinner ... We got feeling that they are trying to charge every single thing in and around the hotel. As for covid, staff, except housekeepers are wearing masks, guest 50/50. However, mask and gloves are required at restaurant, which was great. Beach hygiene is 0 (zero). I never saw someone actually disinfecting deck chairs nor beach tables. Its all dirty. Beach itself is full of cigarettes. I doubt this TUV certificate is real or its just a marketing. Sea and beach apart from the above, are superb, its paradise for little kids. Please do note that sun is going behind hotel around 4PM local time, so there is a shade, can be a bit cold when you come out from the water. At least when wind is blowing :) But I cant blame hotel on this one, lol :) Beach service is terrible, they dont know about "polite" word, actually, none of staff do. They are all frowning except Marianthine (or something like that) who works as "Relationship manager" or similiar. I think that's the only person, who actually smiled in this hotel. And one more thing, beach is not 100% private, when hotel guests do not occupy deck chairs, then anyone can come, with the fee, of course. And I must thank the guy who handled our luggage when we checked in and out. Conclusion: not a very clean hotel/beach, except rooms, not a very friendly hotel, TUV covid certificate is probably a marketing trick, everything is charged, food quality and variety is good and on top of all, not a 5 star hotel. Dont get fooled by the comments that this is "Definition of 5 stars hotel", its not even close. Those people probably never been in one ...

Μr ajvanhoo, since you have been in many 5* hotels, then you should know that bottle water has a charge. moreover, private parking is mentioned at all chanels that has a charge. a guest can park though outside with no fee. in Greece there are not private beaches, the guests are provided sunbeds and umbrella for free, as mentioned at the hotel's profile. ISO is a certificate provided after inspection and cannot be a marketing trick.
