Very original hotel: they re-newed an old village with different houses. These houses are hotelrooms: cosy ! For the nice breakfast you walk over the "village square"... Very friendly helpful owners! To stay overnight is an exceptional experience!
I have already reviewed this sensational place located in Nea Karvali. The rooms (little houses) were very clean, very spacious, well-equipped bathrooms, hot water with very good pressure at the shower, the breakfast served by Mrs Kaplanis, very good, fresh, simple and.....swedish buffet
This place is much more than a bed to sleep in. It is a tourist attraction by itself, with the history behind it and the stories that the staff is so eager to share with you. It is a very cozy place and although the level of comfort might not be the same as a classic hotel, we have really enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend. PS: you can also get some great views of the sea and the surroundings from the property.
Wow! What an amazing place to stay. If you want 5 star luxury and everything just so don’t visit. But if you want uniqueness, history and friendly hosts this is the place for you. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who showed us to our room, a beautiful stone house complete with fireplace. The walls were all stone, a large double bed as well as sofa, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was fine and there was air conditioning. He gave us a brief history of the place and also a leaflet explaining it all as well. It has its own amphitheater. The hotel was bed and breakfast and we asked for recommendations for an evening mealand the local campsite restaurant 300 metres away was suggested. It was lovely, fresh squid and a table overlooking the sea. After a good nights sleep, we had a traditional Greek breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea and mountains. The owners wife was so friendly and kept telling us to eat as much as we wanted. We bought a bottle of their homemade cherry liqueur to sample as well. As for the town of Nea kavali, not that impressed but we travelled to keramoti about half an hour away for a wonderful day on a peaceful beach. I would tell everyone to visit this hotel, to enjoy a really unique experience! Thank you to the owners for a lovely stay!!…
You see The location and unique architectural setting only at the day of arrival! As soon as you stay overnight; a) wild mosquitos leave deep marks on the skin & what a itchy symptoms b)Sleeping on a stone hard beds gives you back pain, even if you have Japanese futon experience! At the reception the owner, ask you to pay the full amount as soon as you step in due to the fact that if you leave for the said reasons earlier than planned he will not get affected but you. I have to stop writing because it still itches like crazy even after the medical treatment . Good luck!
