This is a good choice if you need a place to stay near Copenhagen city center. + walkable distance (5 min) from rail way station + dorms and all areas are very clean, modern but cozy + there are enough common areas where to spend time, work, have your snacks + reasonably priced + you get new bed sheets and towel after staying few nights + there are also some activities at some days (but I didn't participate) - one day room was not cleaned - it would be nice if the beds at dorm have curtains to give some privacy If I need again a place to stay in Copenhagen, I most likely will return here.

Sweet rooms, location and shared areas. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Will deffo go there again. We had some trouble at the start because we booked via hostelworld with a large group, but the staff helped us out so check in went quick.

I liked this hostel. It was super close to the train station and in the centre of the city. The dorms are clean, well designed, and comfortable. There are tons of amenities available, but you do pay extra for them, which is good because it keeps the costs of the rooms down - and they are a great bargain in Copenhagen.

I have been to steel house two times but this was the last time. The first time I found hairs in the bed and the second time it was a very unpleasent experience. I love everything about steel house, but I cant stand the hygiene. The picture’s says it all. Me and my friend complained about this in the morgning and said spesificly what the issues were(dust in the roof, on the walls and floor, hairs in the shower, not cleaned toilets), but when we came back the only thing done was the bed. It was like coming to a room and the only thing changed was the bed from the people before us. We complained and showed the picture to the staff and we got a new room but nothing else. They exused them self and said we have to talk to the managers our self, to get any form for discount or advantage for example. So they couldent call themself, which in this case they abseloutly should have fixed for us. We didnt make it to our dinner and changing rooms and all of this affected our trip badly. As i said love everything about steel house, just not the hygiene. And for me hygiene is more important than anything. Not coming back here..

We've just come back from an excellent 6 night stay at Steel House with our 9 year old daughter. Check in was super easy at it is all done online via the app so when we arrived at midnight we went straight to our room. The app acts as a key card so we were able to get straight in. For some reason the key card part of the app never worked on my phone but we sorted out actual room cards the next morning so it wasn't a problem. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm room, booked as a private room. The beds were very comfortable and the set up of a plug socket, usb charging point and pocket for all your stuff next to your bed was very clever. The room is not massive but was adequate for the 3 of us, comfortable and clean. There was shampoo/ shower gel provided in the bath room. The only down side we found was that the bathroom has a frosted glass door and the light is automatic so if anyone went to the bathroom in the middle of the night the whole room was illuminated for long after they had finished. Our room was next to the elevators and the soundproofing on the room is excellent so we were never disturbed by people in the corridor outside. We used the pool while we were there (there is a small charge for this), it's a lovely small pool and my daughter enjoyed having a bit of downtime. There is also a gym, TV room and cinema room (again a small charge for the gym). On the ground floor there is the check in desk, a seating area and a small café/ bar serving sandwiches, snacks and drinks. There is a water fountain and a kettle available for general use. There is also a kitchen which is available for a charge to cook your own food. Staff were friendly and helpful and Steel House has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The location is amazing, 10 minutes from the Central train station, City square and Tivoli gardens and there is a lake behind which makes for a great morning run. There is a good selection of places to eat nearby. Finally there are large lockers in the basement which we used on the last day after we had checked out to store our luggage before flying home.
