While visiting Copenhagen we stayed at this hotel for about a week. The hotel is at walking distance of the city centre, the Tivoli park and a local (Dybbølsbro about two minutes walking distance) and central train station (walking distance about 10 minutes). Wifi is slow but does the trick. Breakfast is good and most of the staff is friendly. Unfortunately I noticed one of the cooks sneezing a couple times in his gloves and carried on preparing breakfast. Due to COVID but mostly own restrictions the facilities at the hotel are poor. Some were explained by the front desk agent, others we had to find out during our stay. The hotel restaurant was closed without our knowledge upfront. Our standard room (4027) was as expected from a city hotel. A fair size room with a small window with a view to a nearby building. The room was clean, but not cleaned everyday due to COVID restrictions as told by the front desk agent. In the elevator the TV showed saving the environment as reason. Whatever for what reason it was at the end, Housekeeping supposed to be on call but the service after four nights was below expectations. The bed was straightened and the trash was taken out. The floors, sink, mirrors and toilet remained untouched. The hallways on the fourth floor were dirty and not vacuumed during our whole stay. At December 31st the bar should be open until 10 pm but it closed at 8 pm due to low staff. At 11 pm we had to leave the lobby because no guests were allowed to be in it by Danish law. Strange on a New Year’s Eve. At January 1st, the bar closed again at 8 pm. Again, guests were left by themselves and ordering drinks was impossible. When we complained about it to the front desk agent. She told us she was sorry but could not do anything about it as she was just the receptionist. Overall a very expensive stay for the poor and limited service.

Of all the hotels I’ve visited as I travel nomad style this is the one so far where I feel the most at home. When I’ve walked around the city all night and feeling all beat up it’s not bad to come back to a little bit of tender love care. The motherly or even grand motherly love is embedded in interactions whether it’s with the random dude in reception or the beautiful lady running the kitchen today. The kind personal even helped me when I got locke out.. The bar is an experience in itself. Feels kinda like a rockstar only it closes way too early Breakfast is great too

We went for a pre-christmas weekend in Copenhagen and stayed for three nights at Scandic Kødbyen. The location is perfect and close to lots of trendy restaurants in the former meat packing district Kødyen. A few minutes walk to the main train station, Tivoli and Fisketorvet shopping mall. Relatively close to the old city centre, walkable or 1-3 train stops. Easy travelling from the airport by train. The hotel is nice and reception staff helpful. We stayed in a basic room, small but clean with a good bed. The hotel operates a eco-friendly cleaning program so you have to ask for your room getting cleaned and new towels. This could bother somebody used to getting cleaning every day. Breakfast was very busy on the weekend and maybe understaffed but choices were good and very danish, but could use some more sweet options considering being in Denmark. The hotel bar is good and Pablo the bartender brilliant. All in all we had a very good stay in a lovely city and I recommend going to Copenhagen at this time of year.

- Room was not cleaned, hair all over the bed and bathroom - Room was located next to a disco, could not sleep at all, even with the window closed it was super noisy - reception could not do anything to switch the room that night. No offering from their side, doesn‘t reflect a 4 star service at all - location is too far away from city center

This hotel is in a great location close to the train station and local trains. Room nice and clean and staff friendly and taking covid measurements seriously. A bit more pricey than what we had in mind but breakfast included is always worth it for me. However - and maybe I have myself to blame for staying in a hotel with the name "meat village" - breakfast for non meet-eaters was a huge disappointment! Besides an omelette, there was no salmon or herring which you almost always find in Scandinavian hotels. I asked for veggie sausages but no such luck. There was plenty of hot food for meat eaters and mountains of cold meats. Also, the breakfast room was very crowded and busy even though we went there early.
