We requested a quiet room and didn't heard a thing during our stay. Everything was scrupulously clean. The bed is enormous and really comfy, I read a tip on here that if you move your pillows to underneath the window then both of you can get out the bed without clambering over one another and it worked a treat! The night curtain did a good job of blocking the light out and we slept very soundly. Once I got the hang of controlling the lights and TV etc from the tablet, I found it very easy to use. The shower was great, I liked the different shower gels to choose from. It's not often you get a normal hairdryer to use in hotel rooms but was very pleased with this one! The sink being in the room rather that in the bathroom was a bit strange at first but didn't find it a problem. The restaurant/bar/check in is on the top floor of the hotel and while we didn't eat breakfast there during our stay, we went to the bar at night, you get a great view over the city. Very easy to check in and out, the staff were always very friendly and helpful. We thought the location was great, two minutes walk to Tivoli Gardens and plenty of restaurants to choose from, the Food Hall at Tivoli was just round the corner from the hotel, as was Sticks 'N' Sushi, two really nice places to eat, the Tourist information centre is also very close with an amazing bakery inside if you want a quick bite to eat. Will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Copenhagen.

This is a very modern impersonal hotel so for technophobes this isn't a hotel for you...!

We were delighted to find that we were able to check in at 11am (by ourselves on the 7th floor).
Our room was on the 6th floor and was compact but well designed and functional. There is an iPad that controls the lights, temperature, tv and blinds. There is a large storage drawer under the bed and a safe.
The lights were fun to play with for the shower/toilet as you could choose any colour!! The sink is not with the shower/toilet, it is in the main room.
The automatic blinds were really good at keeping light out.
The movie section on the iPad was excellent and had the latest disney and marvel films (plus others), I think we watched 9 films in total!
The shower was very large but only had a 2 in 1 shower gel/shampoo, no conditioner and no other toiletries such as ear buds, make up wipes etc.
The housekeeping in the room needs improving, in the 4 nights we stayed, the cups we drank from were not washed or changed once, nor was the floor cleaned. It seems the bare minimum was performed.
There are 2 x 300 ml bottles of water provided in the room daily.
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, instead choosing to eat at local bakeries for significantly cheaper prices.
The bed is a bit strange in there are no bedside tables (it is literally boxed in) and you have to shuffle down to the bottom of the bed in order to get out. It's a bit inconvenient when getting up in the middle of the night for a drink and there is no clock anywhere in sight so I had to sleep with my phone under my pillow.

Overall, a good 4 star hotel but housekeeping needs improving and it could do with conditioner.

This hotel is in the perfect location; it was a 5 minute walk from central station if getting the train from the airport and everything we wanted to see was in walking distance. The check in was smooth and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Water was left in your room every day and there was no noise at all at night. The shower was powerful and there was a blackout blind, everything was controlled by an iPad which was cool. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending this hotel to friends and family who visit in the future.

Citizen M hotel was perfect for our needs. It was located a short walk from the train station (8 minutes) and Tivoli Gardens (5 minutes). We walked down the streets to Christmas markets, main shopping and Nyhavn (25-30 minutes). The comfort levels were 10/10. The room was a large square bed, space for our luggage, a basin, massive tv on the wall and a shower and toilet. Everything was of the highest quality - bed was comfy, blinds creates blackout, tv had an extensive range of movies (in English to watch) and the shower was excellent with high pressure. The decor of the hotel was very quirky, modern and cool.
Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and having arrived early in the morning having had a long journey from Australia they let us check in early. We stayed 4 nights and ordered the buffet breakfast twice - while everything in Copenhagen is expensive the breakfast worked out quiet reasonable due to high quality barista made quality coffee and the delicious food available.
If ever we return to Copenhagen this is the only hotel I would stay. Simple accommodation but done outstandingly well.

We spent New Years eve in Copenhagen and picked Citizen M based on proximity to the center and familiarity with Citizen M's. Best decision ever. If you've never been to Copenhagen, I strongly recommend this hotel. If you've never stayed at a Citizen M, research the site to know room size.

This particular property is perfectly situated at the main square Radhuspladsen and is luggage dragging distance from the train station. The last time I was there the metro was still under construction and the red line now runs from the Central station to Radhuspadsen if you need a shorter route. There are a multitude of convenience options in the vicinity, Starbucks, 7/11 for those new travelers and just walk further into the city for Michelin worthy restaurants and cafes for the real travelers. I cannot reiterate how perfectly central this hotel is from just about everything Copenhagen. You can visit all the popular sites in Copenhagen and with the introduction of the metro, the city is even more accessible from this location. We also went for lunch in Malmo Sweden (because it's there!) and that was a half hour train ride.

The redesign of the bathroom from the old Citizen M (Schipol par example) gives you more privacy but the rooms are the same King size awesomeness. I actually found this property to be larger than the others I've experienced. However, some rooms can be larger to accommodate families but I gather those are hard to come by due to popularity and we got lucky. Big bed, big pillows, big screen and sound proof rooms so it doesn't matter where you are.

The reception is actually on the 7th floor and it opens to a massive sitting, restaurant lounge area with a well stocked bar with very reasonable prices. The best part of the stay was the breakfast...just book it. Hot fresh everything available and the best dessert for breakfast, cinnamon twist rolls that are a danish specialty.

The staff, all amazing and extremely accommodating with all sorts of requests. There never was a no, not possible, but a "let me try and find a solution" response to all questions we posed. They truly bent over backward to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

The hotel was fully booked for New Years and chiefly because of it's ideal location overlooking the main square to see the fireworks mayhem that the Danes embrace with open arms. The 7th floor balcony wraps around the property facing the square so you get the full experience of the chaos and when we retreated back to our rooms a couple of hours later, the room was well insulated from the cold and noise outside.

If you have to stay anywhere in Copenhagen, this is it. Reminder, this hotel is not for you if you are on a work trip sharing with a colleague...unless that's the plan and if it is, be hygge!

Our fourth time to Copenhagen and our first time staying at the citizenM hotel, we'll definitely be staying here again!

Location:

Just 2 minutes walk to Tivoli Gardens and loads of great shops/restaurants, the location can't be faulted!
It's also conveniently 5 minutes walk from Copenhagen Central Station which makes it very easy getting to and from the Airport directly which take around 15-20 mins and costs about £4 on the train. (All trains stopping at track 2 from the airport go to CPH central and come around every 15 mins or so).

Room:
Really funky, very clean room with some awesome technology to make your stay extra enjoyable. You get an iPad in your room which controls everything from the lights, the blinds, curtains, TV/Radio and ambient lighting and more.
It's a great feature which you don't realise you need so much until you've used it!

Double layed windows also make it completely silent so there is no need to worry about being in such a central/busy location as you really can't hear a thing! Very good for the delicate sleeper!

Facilities:
Really nice lively bar in reception on the top (7th) floor, also with a cool balcony with great views over the square.

All in all a great, modern hotel with everything you'd ever need for a city break in Copenhagen, and most importantly, amazing value!

The only 'negative' I would say is that if you're looking for a truly 'Scandinavian' looking and feeling experience then this isn't the best option in Copenhagen.

Stayed at this place from 29/12 - 01/01 for New Years and couldn't believe just how central it is. You can stand out on the balcony of the 7th floor bar restaurant and directly watch the fireworks in the town square which is so convenient! There are literally tens of thousands of fireworks going off for NYE in the square and it certainly seemed safer to be watching from the balcony rather than down in the thick of it with fireworks exploding everywhere!
The room was nice, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and electric day and nighttime blinds for privacy and sleeping. The hotel is accessed by lifts or stairs both with electronic security and the bar restaurant on the 7th floor is really nice. The breakfast is worth the cash as you can fill up on some pretty varied food and skip lunch later. The iPad that's used to control the room and TV is a bit rubbish and crashed repeatedly during our stay, requiring it be rebooted which was annoying plus the air con seemed to blow cold a lot of the time regardless of the temperature selected in the iPad. Those minor niggles aside, I really liked staying at this hotel and definitely would come here again. The proximity of the nearby Taphouse bar (with its 61 beers on tap) and Little Italy Pizzeria (basic place with awesome pizza) are treats too.

Stayed for two nights (last week) at Citizen M Copenhagen - The hotel is perfectly located right beside city hall square (and Tivoli), and pretty much all of Copenhagen's touristy attractions are accessible by foot.

The hotel interiors and the reception/lounge is chic and ultra modern, although the rooms are on the smaller side. On the plus side most rooms (like ours) do come with great view of the city.

Breakfast was adequate, although little pricey for the basic food spread on display.

I am giving it 3 stars and not any more only because the room lacks certain basic amenities such as kettle and coffee machine. And most importantly, the iPad controller froze during our first night stay, cutting the power supply and shutting the heater in the room. We only realised in the morning when we woke up in the cold with a sore throat and our phones being not charged.

Response from citizenMartina, welcoming all the explorers, adventurers and dreamers at citizenM Copenhagen Radhuspladsen

Hello "amitragshetty", thank you for posting your comment online. I am sorry to read about the ipad. We are working on a new software update and this will make sure the ipad will run smootly. However, the ipad being frozen would not impact the temperature in the room. Did you report the issue to any of our ambassadors? We are always around to make sure our guests can have the best experience. We hope you enjoyed your time in the city and to welcome you back soon. Safe travels, citizenMartina

We have recently returned from a city break in Copenhagen and absolutely loved this hotel!
The room is ultra modern with a pod style bathroom ( rainfall shower included) and your basin unit in the room. Everything in the room can be controlled with the iPad provided, lights, blinds, air con, TV… it’s amazing! The bed is absolutely huge and really comfy. I asked if I could have a nice view over the town hall square and wasn’t disappointed :)
All of the staff we encountered we really friendly and on check in gave us some great advice on what to see in the city ( I didn’t catch the man’s name but he spoke with what I thought was a slightly Spanish speaking accent if that helps narrow him down haha!)
The location can’t be beat your 10-20 minutes walk from all the main city centre sights and 2 minutes away from the metro for further afield. Lots of restaurants nearby too.
Having read the other reviews on here it has to be said the set up isn’t for everyone. If you come here expecting a traditional hotel with kettle in the room, and a front desk you will interact with each day you will be disappointed. But having read the reviews and knowing what the hotel was like before we went we thought it was fab and couldn’t recommend it enough.

We really enjoyed our stay here! I thought before we arrived that the rooms might be small but they are so well designed that it felt we had loads of room. Space was never an issue! The beds are the comfiest and coziest I've ever slept in and with the large TV it was ideal for watching movies, which they had a great selection of! The shower was amazing and had a mood light which you could change the colour of using the ipad. I would definitely stay again. All the staff were so friendly and helpful they felt more like friends. Great location too.

I don't think so but you should ask. Each building is different and this was an older renovated building so some of the rooms were different sizes. Can't hurt to ask.

From the airport to CitizenM, you can take either the Metro or the Train. The Metro requires a change at Kongens Nytorv station so you can get off at Rådhuspladsen (City Hall station). If you take the train from the airport, you want to get off at København H (Copenhagen Central Station). Both are close to CitizenM hotel but the Metro station (Rådhuspladsen) is closer than København H. By the way, the CitizenM is very centrally located but its standard rooms are very cramped.

About 20-30min away using the metro and a metro point is only 100m away from the hotel's front door.
