CPH LIving was our home for nine nights beginning November 18 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location: CPH Living is located between the Langebro Bridge and the Circle Bridge in Christianshavn. From here all of central Copenhagen is easily reached by foot or bike and Christianhavn, with a multitude of bars, restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and interesting sights, are... More

We weren’t quite sure what to expect when we stayed here for 3 nights in November. But we needn’t have worried, this is a genuine boutique hotel with no comparison! If you’re looking for standard hotel and need the whole list of hotel luxuries then this isn’t for you. But if you like quirky, friendly and very comfortable then give... More

Me and my Husband stayed at CPH Living for two nights in October 2016. Staying on a boat sure was a unique experience. One of the nights the weather was extremely windy, and you could feel the boat rocking quite a bit. Not enough to get you seasick or anything, but still. The rooms were nice and clean, maybe a... Made a nice change from the usual city hotels - and a bit more space. Our room (#5) was clean and comfortable with contemporary furniture and a nice shower room. Great views across the river - shame about the building site opposite, but not the fault of the hotel. The rooms have no minibar fridge, but there is a communal... More

The hotel is a boat on the water in the canal, so it is a very unique experience. The view from the room is very pretty, and we enjoyed it a lot. They have a nice terrace on top that if it's warm you have a great view of the water. Staff was friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English.... More

Beautiful hotel with spectacular views over the river. I lost track of time watching sunset and the boats going past the window. Short walk from metro station, so very easy getting to and from the airport. Very minimalist Scandinavian design - bring your own shampoo, washcloth, etc. Lovely staff and nice breakfast. Only stayed one night, but wish it could... More

So, hotel looks beautiful, rooms look great, awesome view... but when you open the window, you get visitors, not small but big spiders, solution: dont open the window.. but wait, then the room becomes an oven ! Its the first time we book in a hotel-boat and maaayyybe this is normal, but what the hell. Also, breakfast is poor. Copenhagen... More

My husband was skeptical when I told him I booked a room for a couple of nights at CPH Living. We could have booked almost any luxury hotel, but the idea of staying in hotel on a converted barge on a canal in the center of the city (within easy walking distance of Tivoli Gardens) really appealed to me. We... More

It's a boat - awesome and open. One entire side of the room is broken into windows with a delightful view of the canal and boat socialization. Even the bathroom shower area has a view of the canal through the room; however, the lower half is tinted. Window screens are good at blocking out light but not sound. With note... More

I was apprehensive about our stay in a boat in a city I’d not been to, but was pleasantly surprised. I read other reviews and was reassured. OMG, they understated the accommodation! I loved looking out at the water, the boats and the city views. One night, I think Friday, there was a wonderful fireworks display from Tivoli Gardens. We... More

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
