Definitely not the same old same old. Actually a remodeled ship! It is true that if light bothers you, you will never find total darkness here, and, like most European hotels, the rooms are smallish, but if you are spending much time in your room while in Copenhagen something is very wrong. Location is fabulous. The reviewer who complained about...

We just returned from Copenhagen. We spent 4 memorable days/nights at CPH Living and loved it. The room was pristine when we arrived and the design of the room and finishes were very well done. Simple and modern design with nice wood floors, bathroom lighting and fixtures, and lots of windows overlooking the river, which is why you're staying there....

We were 2 couples staying for just one night in Copenhagen and chose this hotel for it`s unusualness and location. However, when we arrived we were told that it was double-booked and one couple were to be moved to the Marriot across the river. After a little altercation we managed to all stay together. Our stay was very pleasant, the...

We stayed at CPH Living for 5 nights in mid-May and were absolutely pleased with our experience. This hotel was nothing short of a magnificent way to experience Copenhagen. The location, the boat's rooftop deck, the tasty breakfast, and the overall ambiance can't be beat. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, with the usual amenities for a small...

Myself and wife stayed here for 2 nights a week ago. We were looking for something unusual and different and this ticked the boxes. It's fairly well situated with a lovely aspect and amazing views from the rooms onto the water. Room was lovelly but glass bathroom door and shower room window took a little getting used to. Only small...

I spent lots of searching about accommodation in Copenhagen. This break was a present for my boyfriend and I wanted to make it special. We tried so many hotels and B&Bs etc, but I was hoping this can be what I am looking for. And it was. When we got closer you find it a bit cheap looking but once...

Really a unique experience staying on a boat. Rooms were small but very clean and nicely furnished. Price was a bit higher than I would have expected for that standard but hey, it's Copenhagen. Two things that bothered me were the light room even if the shades were closed and the noise from the main street nearby which made me...

I like the unique experience we had in this hotel from 13th to 16th april 2012. The hotel has such personality and taste. The staff were amazing, nice and helpful. We traveled with a baby and they provided a nice folding cot with a duvet. If I ever go back to Copenhagen I'll definitely stay there again! Barbara, Luca and...

Unique choice: We visited this boat hotel from 9 - 12 December 2011 and we were very happy with our choice - it actually took us hours to find an interesting accommodation, a personalised B&B type of hotel and not a huge impersonal hotel. Also, the price is a very good value for money (the city is very expensive, and...

This is such a cozy hotel, floating on the river. The rooms had stunning views of the Copenhagen skyline in the background and kayakers in the foreground. Everything was very clean, modern, worked fine. The owner set out a lovely, but minimal breakfast in the morning, which was actually a nice change from the insanely huge portions served at most...

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
