Wakeup Copenhagen Bernstorffsgade has garnered attention for its modern atmosphere and generally clean, functional rooms, though the compact size has been a point of contention among guests. The proximity to attractions like Tivoli Gardens underscores its convenient location, which guests frequently applaud. Service quality has received mixed reviews, with some praising the friendly staff, while others have expressed dissatisfaction with customer service. While the hotel is appreciated for its quiet rooms, noise from construction and ventilation has been a concern for some travelers. Despite the reasonable pricing for Copenhagen, opinions on the hotel's value vary.

I had a layover of only one night between two flights and chose the hotel because of the proximity to the central station as well as the price.
The hotel is located maybe 5 minutes on foot from the central station so very easy to reach from the airport. There are two Wakeup hotels in close proximity to the station so it's important to check which one you choose in order not to go to the wrong one.
Since I arrived relatively late and my room category was fully booked, I received an upgrade to a room that is on a higher floor.
Check-in is done through computer on a self-serve basis but if there are questions/ issues, there is also a reception area.
Good usage of the small room- nice and comfortable bed and the TV had several international channels. There is a bar/small cafe but I did not purchase anything since I got something from the train station.
The room was very clean and wifi was fast.
the hotel had everything I was looking for and if the price is right when I stay in Copenhagen again, I would definitely come back.

Wakeup Bernstorffgade is a rather new budget hotel in a very convenient location just 10 mins by walking from Copenhagen Central station. The place is new and very clean. The lobby features a cafee/ bar; internet places and seating. Rooms are on the small side but are very functional, clean and well maintained. They come with all you need for a short trip. I probably wouldn't stay here for a week but for 2-3 days it's totally ok. Good breakfast served with a view in the restaurant on 10th floor for a reasonnable price (190 DKK). Clear "go" for a no-frills and reasonnably priced but clean place. Not entirely quiet despite of soundproof windows - so bring earplugs if you are noise sensitive.

I don’t know what all those people who gave bad reviews are talking about. My friend and I thought the whole concept of this hotel just brilliant. How do people not know what the rooms will be like before they go? Do they not read signs and information when they get there?! I had read up about the hotel beforehand and it suited our needs perfectly. Great location, walking distance from the station and most of the tourist attractions. It is good value and we found it beautifully clean and well appointed. We also thought the idea to save resources and only have clean towels, bedding and room cleaning done on request absolutely admirable. We liked being able to help the planet a bit. Well done you! Of course the rooms are small, it says so, but they have everything you need, including hanging space! We slept well and the shower was just great. The downstairs lounging area is very nice and a good place to sit with your companions when wanting to chill other than in the room. They have a perfectly acceptable selection of snacks and drinks, even beers on tap. We found the lifts were just fine, never had to wait long. The breakfast was great, plenty of everything and really set you up for the day. Cereals, yoghurt, fruit, croissants, meat, cheese, vegetables, jam, honey, fruit juice, a lovely selection of bread and gorgeous boiled eggs. We thought they had the breakfast just right, a very acceptable price and we really looked forward to it each day, We also thought it well thought out to avoid waste and the need for lots of manpower. Again a clever concept. As for the staff, every single one of them was super friendly and very helpful. One guy went to a lot of trouble to find a plug adaptor for me as the one I had wouldn’t work. I did think that only one chair in the room would have been better due to the limited space, a second one being superfluous, but that is not a moan. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel's location was very good, but the room was prepared for only one person when we arrived (one pillow, one duvet) and there was dust and hair on the bed. Then we found one spare pillow and duvet under the bed, but they were used and dirty. Then we asked the reception for clean pillowcase and duvet cover, they told us that there is no available duvet cover now. Then they changed our room and the new room was okay. I don't understand how a hotel does not have even one spare duvet cover. I do not reccomend this hotel.

I can really recommend this place. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and we got great service at all times. I personally really liked the luggage lockers in the hotel which made it possible to put all the luggage away and stroll around the city even when checking in was not yet possible. This made it so easy to get use of the whole day! The only negative thing I would say was the size of the room - it was quite small for two people and if the weather would not have been that good, I think it would have been a problem, but we had a few sunny days and were out and about the whole day - for that the room was just fine.

Great location at a great price. Love that it’s almost walkable to every where.

Room was ‘obviously’ not ready when I arrived at 1.30pm but of course, I get the option to top up 100KR per night for a sky room that’s available immediately. The sky room was the same size as the standard room but was supposed to have a ‘wonderful’ view. They could have just told guests that it costs extra to check in early.

Rooms are now not cleaned daily as an afford of sustainability but guests can request for cleaning. I requested for 2 nights. The only thing noticeable was that bed was made. Floor was not vacuumed, trash was not taken out, toilet was not cleaned and hair was not removed or swept from the shower.

If you are going to be out most of the time, just needed a play to stay and don’t mind the cleanliness level, it’s still ok for the price considering it is the cheapest hotel in an expensive city.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, great value for money considering the how good the location is in terms of getting to landmarks. Rooms very clean. There is currently building works happening next door but it didn’t affect our stay in anyway.

We came here for a 2 night stay before Christmas and this hotel was very convenient and the metro wasn’t too far away. We didn’t get breakfast but there are plenty of cafes which sell danish pastries for next to nothing. The room was clean but there was some stains on our towels but luckily we packed our own too!

Check in was super easy and check out was even easier. We also arrived really early but there is a luggage room with lockers for a small fee if you want to leave your bags.

The rooms are quite small but are ok if you aren’t going to be in there all the time. The shower is in the centre of the room and you can see when someone is in there so if you aren’t close with the person you are sharing a room with then it could be quite awkward.

There isn’t any tea or coffee making facilities in the room but there is a hairdryer in the bathroom which works better than I expected.

Overall, it was a good stay and great for what we came for.

We booked this place because of the cheap price so wasn't expecting too much. It was just about OK, near the station but in dead part of town. Definitely book the larger room with spare futon bed even if you won't be using it because the standard rooms are minuscule (would be OK for one person but if you are a couple you will be going to the toilet 2 meters from your partners head!) Room wasn't very clean - had to ask for it to be hoovered and I wiped down the surfaces myself. Asked for another pillow but was told I was only allowed to have my allocated number. When I questioned this they said they didn't have a single other pillow in the whole hotel they could give me anyway. This place is probably just about OK for single person for work, but for a tourist couple you could find a better hotel in a better location for little more money.

Dear Guest First of all thank you for taking your time to share your experience. I appreciate feedback from our guests, as it helps improve our service and product. I am sorry you experienced an issue with the cleaning in the room. The cleaning needs to be spotless every time. I do also regret to read that the front desk didn't sent up Housekeeping to redo your room entirely alternatively suggested to move you to another room. Regarding the pillows we do normally have extra pillows for guests to borrow, which is why I will look into the explanation you got. I do apologise for the lack of service while you were staying here - this it not how we wish to deliver service to our guests. Please accept my apology. Kind regards Julie

Hi, Thank you for your message. We are located approximately 35 mins. from the cruise terminal. A taxi will be between DKK 300 -450,- depending on the traffick. It is possible to use public transportation. Both busses and S-train and they go every 20 minute from the terminal to Central Station. Wish you a good day.
